Crossroads RP

Aveline sighs a little, more in exasperation than anything else. "That man.. Yes, he's doing much better this morning, but I still encouraged him to take it easy. For his heart."

"Word," says Marianne wisely, with a nod.

Marian winces. "I feel so old. Is this what you feel like all the time?" she asks, getting a bit of apple flicked at her from Varric's knife.

"I was thinking I'd pay the local church a visit. Get the lay of the land, so to speak," Aveline replies.

"I'll guide the way," Varric is quick to reply.

"Grieving the loss of my sex life," he mutters under the pillow. "Dil, I can't put some girl through what I went through!"

Nathaniel immediately falls silent, bowing his head so as not to be caught staring at his betters. And from there, he seems normal enough -- silent, almost eerily so, with those big dark eyes that see far too much. Only... it's harder to hate him, now. It's harder to see him as an enemy now that they know how he thinks. That he thinks. 

"Everything is a cycle," Nox quoted sadly, head nodding. Before he could continue, the priest moved towards them.

"His wounds are closed and his body reinvigorated. He still has some days left of bedrest, but as long as you continue with tending him as you have so far, he should recover fully. Save perhaps for some scarring," he said without preamble. 

A pause. Long, slow lizard blinks. "...what? Grieving? Grieving what?"

"I'm grieving."

"And now they are worse than ever, as if in answer to the good years."

"They were," Nox answered thoughtfully. "For a few years."

"You haven't eaten in at least sixteen, likely closer to twenty hours," Dil replied firmly. "This is unacceptable, as per the 'books aren't food, dammit' rule."

He actually hisses at Dil. "Go. Away."
