"Of course. There are five or six of us who go out drinking together on a regular basis. I have also had sex with Mary on a number of occasions, sometimes as a group activity and twice with just myself and her. The core members of the group are myself, MaryAnn, Stacy, Marissa, and most of the time, Mary. We occasionally include Susie and Emily, but they are also on the fringe of the group."

[NPCs]

Vosang asks for and receives full names for each of the mentioned people, then nods. "Very good. Please detail the nature of your specific relationship with Mary Amell, including your observations of her character and mental slash emotional condition. Please be explicit and forthcoming."

[GamesMaster]

"Typically or last night?"

"First typically, then last night."

"Typically Mary is... troubled. She tends to be quiet, but she's eager to drink and fuck, so she's not shy. She's reckless, I would say. She often drinks the most out of any of us, and she's very bold about karaoke and bowling and other activities. She's competitive, too, when she's got enough drink to start talking to us. She also has an ice affinity; when she's startled or anxious, she gets cold, and sometimes I've witnessed snow flurries around her. I have not seen her cast accidentally, however, she seems to have a firm grip on her magic even while drunk. Is that enough?"

[NPCs]

"Two points of clarification please; has she spoken to you about any reasons for why she seems troubled and expand on her eagerness and consumption of alcohol."

[GamesMaster]

"When asked, she has occasionally alluded to family troubles, but she has typically declined to go into detail. As for the consumption of alcohol, it is a rare outing in which she does not partake of at least four or five strong drinks, and I understand it is typical of her to drink to excess, consuming a tonic in the morning to deal with Sirena's Revenge."

[NPCs]

"And outside of outings? Have you witnessed her drinking, in excess or otherwise, in other circumstances?"

[GamesMaster]

"No. She typically seems, as far as I can tell, to be sober when in class or studying. Only when others drink does she partake. She drinks more than the others but does not drink alone."

[NPCs]

"And you said she 'typically' refrained from answering about her troubles. Please expand."

[GamesMaster]

"Last night she went into more detail than was common, but I was saving that for when I give testimony about last night. In other circumstances she did not go into much detail. The occasional reference to a boyfriend who she was arguing with, but she declined to state the nature of the argument or elaborate on the boyfriend."

[NPCs]

A slight pause. "Did the existence of Mary Amell's boyfriend have any impact on her interactions with your group," the guard asks as neutrally as he's capable of doing.

[GamesMaster]

"No. She participated in the sex games as though she were single."

[NPCs]

"Was there an explanation asked for or given on that matter?"

[GamesMaster]

"To be honest -- as if I could do elsewise," ey jokes, "-- we were worried asking might... disrupt the fragile peace that we'd forged. Sometimes when we pushed Mary, she would become elusive and quiet, and decline to join us later for drinks. We didn't want to scare her off. We figured she knew her own business. Besides, I have a good guess as to who she really is, and if I'm right, she's able to fuck whomever she likes without disrupting her relationships."

[NPCs]

Varric mostly covers his wince. Not exactly accurate (free, yes, but not without consequence). Leaning forward slightly, the guardsman asks firmly, "explain, fully, your comment on 'who she really is' including the identify of that guess."
