"Give us ten minutes to ready ourselves, then." Marian nods, finally moving to sit up and get off Aveline's bladder.

A much appreciated gesture, though Aveline would prefer if Twin One would also get the fuck of her bladder.

A few minutes later, as Marian helps Aveline squat over the chamber pot without overbalancing, she leans in to murmur quietly, "Don't be mad? Ergile is Papa in disguise."

[Aveline Vallen]

Aveline doesn't react at first, the words not registering thanks to her extreme focus on pretending her fian-- lover is holding her arm as she pisses in a pot. Then it sinks in and she bobbles a little. "Sorry, what?"

[Marian Hawke]

"Ergile Evide. It's one of Papa's disguises. I don't know why he's in disguise, but he is."

[Aveline Vallen]

"He--" Aveline shakes her head, focusing on finishing up so she can concentrate. "When?' she finally asks bluntly.

[Marian Hawke]

"He came to visit me in prison disguised as Helene. I noticed something was amiss. As far as I know he only got back today."

[Aveline Vallen]

Aveline finishes belting her tunic up as she scowls. "Best be only today," she says darkly. "But good. I am... I am going to have a long, uncomfortable talk with him. But that's for later."

[Marian Hawke]

"I... I don't think he's holding up well," she admits. "Maybe wait on that talk until we get Merrill back."

[Aveline Vallen]

That gets a grunt. "Might actually be able to pin him down, get some fucking honesty out of him," she mutters.

[Marian Hawke]

"Don't," she warns. "That's not nice."

[Aveline Vallen]

"Never swore to be nice," Aveline protests, though Marian can tell she's just grumpy and irate. Mostly anyway.

[Marian Hawke]

"No," she agrees. "But you agreed to be family, and sometimes that means being nice. You all set?"

[Aveline Vallen]

"No, I'm bloated."

[Marian Hawke]

"Pregnancy," says Marian with a nod. "You get used to it after a while." I'm sorry.
