[Aveline Vallen]

"I changed my mind," Aveline says brightly, clapping. "I think I'd rather order in. And have some changes of clothes sent for as well," she adds, glancing at Varric, who looks perplexed about life and its many mysteries right now. "Good, thank you Varric. Oh, and if you'd make sure that Beka and Silence get to visit us sometime today or tomorrow, that would be wonderful."

Hawke blanches. "Aveline, you can't spend the night in jail. You're pregnant."

[Aveline Vallen]

Aveline widens her eyes comically and looks down at herself. "Vangal's breath, I am! I had no idea!"

[Marian Hawke]

"Aveline." Hawke sighs. "I get what you're trying to do. But... I'm worried about the babes, with so much stress on them from the procedure. Maybe this is... maybe you should trade off with Zevran or Isabela."

[Aveline Vallen]

Panis starts to say something but Aveline plows right over him. "Guard Captain," she explains. "I can stay there, they'd have to leave after an hour. But I'll compromise." She looks at Varric, then as the slightly annoyed but mostly fascinated Lord Hand. "Getting a comfortable lounger should be permissible, correct? Blankets and pillows. Proper meals for, ah, one plus two? As long as we pay for it all? I'm a paladin, so I've no fear of getting ill and I can heal myself if need be. "

[Panis zi’Ulthlis]

"I assume me saying no wouldn't actually stop you?" Aveline smiles serenely at Panis, who shakes his head ruefully. "You'll have to keep some of it outside the cell but I think we can work out details all involved can live with."

[Marian Hawke]

Hawke nods. "Having you outside the cell at least eases my fears about something going wrong and you not being able to summon help quickly. I can live without cuddles," she admits ruefully. 

[Aveline Vallen]

Aveline narrows her eyes. "Outside of the cell some of the time," she counters. "Beka and Silence can move in with us as well; they can take turns being outside the bars so she can get help."

[Marian Hawke]

"I really don't want to be a bother, having people let you in and out all the time."

[Aveline Vallen]

"Fair enough," Aveline allows, nodding. "I'll be a bother then. I'm pregnant, that means I can be extra bitchy and demanding and it's rude to call me on it."

[Marian Hawke]

"This is meant to be a punishment," she points out. "If you keep pestering them, they'll throw you out."

[Panis zi’Ulthlis]

"No, it's not," Panis admits when Aveline looks at him. "You're being held for questioning; you cannot be punished until a verdict is decided."

[Marian Hawke]

"That doesn't mean she's free to come and go from my cell all the time, whenever she likes. I'm being held, on suspicion of committing a crime. I'm not meant to have luxuries or they'd have put me on house arrest instead." Though... could I be on house arrest instead? That would be nicer...

[Aveline Vallen]

Aveline blinks twice, head tilting to the side. "You know..." she begins, causing Panis to cover his face with one hand. 

"I will speak with a random quorum of Lights as soon as I can," he says around it. "In the meantime, however, you will have to return to your cell."

[Marian Hawke]

"Understood. I'm willing to comply with whatever the Lights decide," she adds. "I am trying my best not to impede the investigation in any way, or divert resources that should be investigating."
