[Zevran]

"What kind of outsider? And no, I was asking about you, not..." He squints a moment. "Xem?"

[Shisou]

"Originally an Earth Mephit," says Carbonne. "Currently a Carbonacle in form." 

[Zevran]

"Mephit," Zevran says slowly, giving the being a lingering look. "That is... like an imp but for an element instead of evil, no?"

[GamesMaster]

"I am no imp," grumbles Carbonne. "I am an Earth Elemental. I just happen to be small right now."

[Zevran]

"So Mephits are not one of the less powerful forms of your, ah, category of outsider that involves having wings, mild magical abilities and at least basic or greater intelligence?"

[GamesMaster]

"A mephit is what I will become if Shisou becomes powerful enough," grumbles Carbonne. "I was a proper Elemental before I was bound to that necklace. There's a difference."

"Sorry," says Shisou cheerfully. "I get mixed up."

[Zevran]

Ah, so it was being reminded of lost grace, not... "You evaded my question, by the by."

[Shisou]

"Sorry, which question was that?" asks the girl, blinking. Seems she did forget or miss it, not intentionally evading it. 

[Zevran]

"Her or his," Zevran repeats. "More directly, do you know yourself as female, male or something else?"

[Shisou]

"Um, well, right now I'm female, of course."

[Zevran]

"I am unfamiliar with this particular type of magical transformation and such," Zevran explains, still studying Shisou. "Some shapeshifting is merely skin deep, others full body, still others affect the mind and yet others do some other combination of things. Best to simply ask. So you know yourself as female in this shape... Do you prefer another name as such?"

[Shisou]

"Um, so technically I guess I'm-- well, I guess it's best to call me, um, Shiori? Or, if you prefer, technically my adventurer name was The Midnight Princess Soushi-hime, but that's, um, it's not like I'm adventuring anymore..."

[Zevran]

"Which do you prefer?" Zevran presses,, seemingly trying to make a point or perhaps confirm something.

[Shisou]

"I mean, I don't... you can call me Shiori," she says finally. "It seems weird to use titles between family."

[Lux]

"Sorry, wait, you were an adventurer?" Lux blurts out. "Like fighting undead abominations and fending off raider attacks? Unearthing lost arcana and walking where no soul has tread in a hundred lifetimes? Calling down--" He makes a protesting whine at being interrupted but doesn't push his twin away from himself, nor part their joined lips.
