Go Down

The Iron Bull

Bull's head snaps up, eyes wide. "What?" he blurts out. Oh gods. Oh gods. She doesn't-- "Cind' what do you remember? Starting from-- from meeting B-Blossom, what do you know?"

"Noire told me the broad strokes of what happened between you two and Varisia. The last thing I recall was trying to read and struggling to focus. I must have drifted off then. And I know something terrified Little B right out of her mind. She won't talk to any of us anymore. Just curls up in her room and sobs. Noire knows something, I think, but she won't talk about it either."

The Iron Bull

Bull stares a moment, then swallows convulsively. "I-- there's a lot you need to know," he forces out. "But it's-- It can wait a bit. Most of it a while even. For after you've-- you've had some more rest." His words, despite how they'd be most often meant, are more an offer, even a plea, rather than a decision.

To his relief, she relents. "Okay," she whispers. I don't want to know what Varisia did to us. If that makes me a coward, so be it. "I'll update the others on the babe. So Cedric and Noire won't have to ask you again."

The Iron Bull

"She's beautiful," Bull offers, mustering a smile. "V-- We've had three healers in to check, as she came early and all, but she's hale and hardy. Great lungs," he adds, smile turning ruefully amused. "Aasimar, by the way. Kinda burnished gold sorta coloring thing going on. Skin's paler than her hair by a margin. Really cool eyes too; got one blue and one green, but like jewels. Ears a pointy too, almost as much as yours." He smirks, chuckling. "Got your pout too, and a real liking for honey in her juice."

"...tell Varisia I'm willing to breastfeed," she says, quietly. "I'm taking that decision away from Noire. She'll put up with the 'indignity' if she knows what's good for her." She owes me, anyway.

The Iron Bull

"Oh. Uh. Yeah..." Bull coughs awkwardly. "Bit, uh, bit of ironie there... She can't drink milk. The second healer, a specialist from Toukami, said it's not too uncommon, her being an aasimar. Lot of'em have weird diets and such. Best he can tell is that she won't get nothing from anything from an animal. So no milk. Gave us a list of juices for now, plus a buncha veggies and grains for when she's older that should do it. Cook says it's basically the same as a strict elven diet?"

Another way I failed my daughter. "I see," she says quietly. "Sorry to do this to you, but I'm real worn out. Can you hold me while I fall asleep?"

The Iron Bull

"Gods yes thank you," Bull blurts out, then blushes. "I mean, yeah, I can do that. Since it's you asking I guess," he adds in a clearly insincere show of stoic manliness. "Do... how do you want..?" He reaches up with one hand to rub his horn, the other still holding hers as something occurs to him. "You, uh, you want a nightgown first?"

"I don't see the need," she points out. "Do you?"

The Iron Bull

Bull shakes his head a little, a smile creeping on his face. "Worried about you being comfortable is all," he murmurs. "Do you--" He hesitates, then, figurately, squares his feet and charges straight ahead. "Ya know how I feel about you," don't blush don't blush, "what with me saying it a bunch jus now and all." Don't blush dammit. "But, uh, well, you might'ta guessed what with you having eyes and such that I, uh," dammit, no blushing! "appprrrovve? Appreciate! how ya look. But as much as I'd like to, uh, well, as much as-- Not tonight," he finally manages, feeling his cheeks blazing. "Just wanting to lay that out straight and all. 'specially afore--" He grunts. "Especially before I ask if you mind if, uh, follow suit. Suitless I guess."

Cindy leans forward, planting a gentle, lingering kiss on his lips. "Alright," she whispers, pulling back just a touch.

The Iron Bull

Bull swallows, a goofy look on his face for a few seconds. "Ummayah." That's not words? "Thank you," he manages after another swallow. He squeezes her hand gently before letting go and standing up. Looking awkward but game, he fidgets briefly before removing his ki-- holy shit. The Iron Bull is trying to ignore it, but he's at least half erect and... Gaze averted and blushing, the imisy minotaur quickly circles the bed to get in on the other side. And especially get under the covers.

Clearing his throat, he asks, "soooo... how do you... do you want to..?"

Astea's breath, that's nearly a foot long! She tries not to stare, but she can't help it. Will that even fit inside me? "Um," she says, thankful she wasn't looking for sex tonight. "If you can hold me and pet my hair, I think I'll fall asleep fairly quickly. I don't... everything's still sore," she admits, with a wince. "and I really am exhausted."

The Iron Bull

"Do you..." He wriggles closer, ending up on his side with one arm extended out. "Want to kind of... lay atop me maybe?" He looks a little worried, but more in a nervous, shy sort of way. "I don't move around much a'tall in my sleep," he adds quickly to reassure her. "Not gonna-ing to crush you or n-anything."
