She goes quiet then, whimpering and crying as she thrusts her fingers into herself, desperate for the stimulation after so long tied up. It isn't long before she cums, curling into a small, sobbing ball under the bed when she finishes, as if ashamed of herself.

Only then do they come for him.

Seeing her mutilated, broken corpse breaks something inside him. But he 'wins', in the end. When they're dripping hot metal onto his skin, making little decorative burn scars, he manages to upset the brazier, pouring a bowl of molten steel across his crotch and ruining it for the purposes they had in mind. He ends up a gladiator, after all, safe, after a fashion. Forced only to kill.

Shiori has some skill with a needle and thread, and Isabela has trunk upon trunk of costumes, so when they arrive at the Robijan Enclave, Coquette is dressed in a tight leather dress, long silk gloves, and knee-high boots that almost fit. Zevran wears a leather armor outfit that's less protective than it is revealing, and a collar around his throat indicating that he belongs to someone. The pair match well, especially with the whip at Coquette's side, and the matching eyeliner and lipstick they wear makes them an especially a matched set. Shiori plans to remain aboard the ship with Isabela, so there's no need for them to dress up.

They send a messenger down, specifically to the family Varisia once rebuked. The place she once called home.

Then, they wait.

NPCs

There's not all the much for them to look at, much less do, while they wait either. There're two rows of paddocks, each with four sections, though only two are currently occupied. Neither of them, thankfully, with a bull or even cows, but instead a score of pigs for each one. Between those pens and the small, squat tower that doubles water reservior and airship dock are a pair of squat stone building; a tavern and a cramped dorm for the use of traveling merchants. Beyond the tower is the entrance to the small fort that is the real start of the Enclave, one that is build directly into the rocky hills that the Enclave is under.

"Hope you won't lot won't mind waiting long."

Turning, the pair see that the speaker is a reedy looking imisy kender with a cob pipe in her teeth. Seeing she has their attention, she adds with a wave towards the fort, "that lot don't stir themselves for valued trading partners, much less newcomers. No matter the shade of their skin."

"We're family, of a sort," says Coquette, frowning  just a touch. "And you are?"

Zevran

"Name's Clip," she says airily, though both merikos drow catch the artifice of her tone. She's not coming across as malicious, but she's clearly fishing. "And I'd be careful of that kind of wordage, iffen I were you. Drow take 'family' in a peculiar sort of way."

"Your advice is noted and appreciated," Zevran says smoothly, any falsehood in his own voice going unnoticed by Clip. "I take it you're rather familiar with the locals then?"

"Been trading with'em since afore the orcs near as razed the place down," is the proud reply. "Well, my da was anyways, as I were a mite bit young to be making trades meself back then."

Coquette Blacquin

"What do you know of the Famiglia Emirison?" asks Coquette, her tone light but her eyes sharp. "The most recent information, if you please." She fiddles with a silver coin, clearly implying she'll bribe for the information but not outright stating it in case she offends with the offer.

NPCs

"All sorta things," Clip says promptly, the woman's eyes sliding to and then away from the coin in clear if unspoken agreement to the offer. "Never much spoken to the bulk of'em o'course; themselves don't often breath clean air, if you get me. But we have a contract or dozen with'em, and you'd be surprised how much you can tell about folks just by what, when and how they buy and sell things." She scratches at her chin, fingers rasping across some evening stubble. "They're the most open and talkative of the Famigilas, that's fer sure. Lotta forward thinkers and realists; no city can grow'n make all that they need and the Enclave isn't even a city." She smirks. "Prolly don't hurt none that they must make a fortune offa being the go'a tween with outsiders and the more hidebound Famiglias. Amazing really, the prices people will pay to avoid speaking with a stranger."

Coquette Blacquin

"Does the Matriarch still reign? Or has control passed in the last few decades since my information was good?"

NPCs

Clip snorts a little. "Can't hardly but have a Matriarch rein," she says with a grin. "Some o' the males might have a vague dream or two of power, sure, but ain't none of them would try for it. But iffen you mean, does Matriarch Feythal still rule, then yah."

Coquette Blacquin

"And her health? Still the old battleaxe she always was?"

NPCs

That gets a snort. "As if they'd say anything different to an outsider, no matter how long a friend or valued a connection they be?" She clucks her tongue, head shaking. "Still, it's true enough that no matter what other names change titles or duties, the Matriarch o' the Emerisons hasn't budged an inch."

Coquette Blacquin

"And her heir? Still the granddaughter? Or has she fallen out of favor?" Coquette leans over the balcony, feigning interest in the paddocks far below instead of her companions.

NPCs

"Not as far as I--" Clip stops abruptly, peering off towards the tavern. "Huh. That's a bit strange and a lot unusual," she says absently.

Looking that way as well, Zevran spots the pink haired gnome-- or perhaps imisy gnome, it's hard to tell at this distance-- that the merchant is staring at. "Another trader or..?"

"Hmm? Oh, no, she's a local. Heh." She grins, looking amused. "Yer summons slipped to the side a touch, it seems: 'stead o' the granddaughter, ya seem to have conjured up her wife, such as it is."

Coquette Blacquin

Coquette flips the kender the silver, then, and smooths her dress, as if she could make it grow another inch by tamping it down with her hands. They had to take in the bust, and the little window there doesn't show much, but otherwise it makes her look dominant, sexy, and confident. Her demeanour changes, straightening further, and her head lifts a little, using every inch of her height from her heeled boots to the top of her coiffed braids.

Then, she waits.

Zevran

Taking that as his cue-- Zevran both hates and appreciates how easy it has been for the two of them to slip into their roles-- Zevran slips down the tower without a word. He approaches the lady gnome, pausing briefly to look at something or someone out Coquette can't see from her angle, then bows deeply. She keeps him waiting for several minutes, but Coquette can see her impatience and annoyance despite her attempts to hide them. She has to make him wait, for propriety's sake, but it's clear enough to Coquette's seasoned eyes that she'd rather just find out who he is and what he wants.

Finally, she turns to him and there's a brief exchange between them with plenty of bowing and a single, slow gesture towards the tower. The gnome stares a moment at Coquette from across the distance, then nods. Without another word to Zevran, she heads off for the fort entrance even as Zevran returns to Coquette. "She is willing to speak with you,' he says softly in eleven once he's back. "There's a small meeting chamber just inside the fort evidently." Which means Coquette has to come to her, after she's had time to settle herself in place. Typical enough a power play really.
