The Iron Bull

Bull watches the newcomer indirectly as he fusses and praises the dinos. He knows that they're not real, knows they've been dead for more than a decade, but it just feels right to do anyway. Thought we were looking for a baby? Wait, Little B. So she took...

"Did you hide a baby in my head?" he suddenly bluets out.

Coquette Blacquin

Little B flinches, shaking her head with a low whimper.

The Iron Bull

"So there's no baby in here?" A beat. "Or anyone resembling, pretending, named or symbolizing a baby?"

Coquette Blacquin

"Sorry," whispers Little B.

"Hey, ease off," growls Cedric. "She's sensitive."

The Iron Bull

"Yeah well, she sensitively broke into my head while maybe baby napping," Bull grumbles.

Coquette Blacquin

Little B flinches again, tears dripping down her cheeks.

The Iron Bull

Sighing, Bull turns his focus back to the mental constructs roughhousing around him. Ugh. I can't-- I got no kindness left in me these days, girlie. Ced- Rick- Cedric-- Whoever, I hope you know how to deal with her 'cause I'm a broken bull.

Coquette Blacquin

Shooting Bull a dirty look, Cedric moves to enfold Little B in his arms, letting her cry on his shoulder. "I don't think she's got the baby in here," he adds.

"No," she whimpers. "The baby changed forms and it scared me so I ran and hid."

The Iron Bull

Bull, carefully not looking at Cedric, frowns slightly. "Sorry, changed forms?"

Little B nods.

"I think he means, how? Why? Into what?"

"Into a monster," she whispers, shivering.

"That... can happen?"

Little B nods again.

The Iron Bull

Monster? Oh thank the gods, Bull thinks instantly, relief coming at the revelation that it's a monster loose in his brain instead of a baby. "What kind of monster we talking about? Dragon? Tentacle blob with mouth eyes? Dire bear? Lich?"

The Iron Bull

Bull actually perks up at that response, a clear indication that he's not in his right mind (clear evidence to the contrary there may be) if there ever was one. "A dragon? Really? How big? What color?" The note of excitement in his voice is yet another warning sign, at least to Cedric, who knows him so well. Bull may have shared his daydreams of fighting a dragon with the other man more than once in the past but it's not so dear a wish as to explain Bull's reaction given the circumstances.

Coquette Blacquin

"Bull?" asks Cedric, cautiously, as he lets go of Little B.

Little B jumps, holding up her hand above her head to signal how tall. "Black."

The Iron Bull

"Yeah?" Bull asks, starting to respond to Cedric before Little B snags his attention. "Black, a bit taller than you? That's a very young adult at most; second molt. Yeah, we can take that," he declares with a savage grin
