Coquette addresses Estelle, over Claudia's head: "What did you find out?"

[Estelle Emerison]

"I think I got the shell of the situation out of her," Estelle says quietly, hand not stopping. "I'd like to hear what you know however."

[Coquette Blacquin]

"I've seen evidence that Claudia cheated on us again. But... it wasn't the most convincing. We wanted to know if shed been subject to mind magics."

[Estelle Emerison]

"My apologies, I wasn't very clear," Estelle realizes. "I meant the details of what you witnessed; Claudia gave a... rambling, disjointed explanation of both your parts but she obviously couldn't share all of it."

[Coquette Blacquin]

"An illusion, a... magical-recreation via a magic item, which can be set to capture a few seconds of picture as though it were in a magic mirror. No sound. It was her, down to the expressions she makes, being pleasured by Tenachka."

[Estelle Emerison]

"Memory capture crystal," Estelle murmurs, frowning. "I've heard rumor of them, but they've not yet been made public, so to speak. I don't know enough about how they work, in the details, to really... Anything else of significance?" Her tone is brisk, almost professional, but the way she's cuddling Claudia against her is very telling.

Coquette frowns a little. "She... claims... that they only represent the truth. That they cannot capture illusion."

[Estelle Emerison]

That takes Estelle aback. "That effect would be... Hmm. Perhaps something akin to a True Seeing? That's a fiendishly complex effect, especially to attach to an item. But... possible, yes, if only just."

[Coquette Blacquin]

"If it is not illusion, then..."

[Estelle Emerison]

Estelle shakes her head slightly. "As I said, such is possible, but would be far easier to create one without such a thing in place. I'd really need to study the actual device to know the details of how it works, what the limitations are. In broad terms, I can see how you could make one that is just a created imagining of the creator, one that could, depending on the skill and focus of the caster, look entirely realistic. On the other end of the spectrum, I can see one that uses a blend of scrying and other divination magics to detect and record a forcefully truthful rendering of the target in perfect detail. There's too many possibilities to guess with the third-hand information I have."

[Coquette Blacquin]

"And I haven't the slightest idea what to look for." She sighs. 

[Zevran]

"It sounds as if we need one of these crystals to study," Zevran suggests mildly. 

"Well yes, that would help," Estelle allows, "but they're still restricted so we'd have to get one from either Grandmother or Tenachka herself. And I don't think either of those routes is wise right now."

[Coquette Blacquin]

Coquette frowns, then turns to Zevran. "If I asked you to procure me a crystal..."

[Zevran]

Estelle makes an alarmed sort of noise when Zevran smiles, broad and innocent. "I have occasionally been known to stumble upon things thought rare or unique during my more subtle walks," he disassembles. "A walking partner might be needed as a lucky charm in this case. Luck is a fickle thing after all, and one can't known how lucky one is before they see the path before them."

"I will have to check my schedule, but perhaps we can take a walk together soon." So saying, she turns to Estelle. "But, did you find any evidence of tampering with Claudia?"
