"We don't know if she was yet," Zevran remind her gently.

"She wasn't," she snaps, annoyed. 

[Zevran]

"Noire, we have no reason to believe that Tenachka is being truthful about... a great deal," Zevran points out. "She might not actually hate us, but she certainly wishes to cause us pain. To play her sadistic games. Claudia denies being unfaithful and, to be blunt, I simply don't think she's capable of lying to your face without you detecting it."

Noire is, for once, quiet a moment, listening and mulling that over. 

[Zevran]

"I obviously can't be sure," Zevran continues after a moment. "But even if the recording is of Claudia, I don't think she consented to it. The sex, not just being recorded. If she was raped, then she didn't betray you. If she was raped, then she was attacked by Tenachka. And, in a way, so were you. Especially if it was done to hurt you through her. I have seen such ploys done before, though admittedly, those were sprung by timing things such that the aftermath was walked in on instead of via magical crystals."

"She was not in distress," Noire grumbles. "And... it's not as though she prizes me as a wife in the first place. I am an afterthought."

[Zevran]

"Rape can be done in more ways than just violence," Zevran replies somberly. "Magic, drugs, entrapment..." He trails off, shaking his head. "But what do you mean about being an afterthought?"

[Coquette Blacquin]

"The primary reason I am inclined to believe you is that she would not do that to Estelle twice. I am... I am once again a pawn, a political tool, rather than a person deserving of... anything."

[Zevran]

"When you first approached Claudia, what was her reaction?" Zevran asks slowly.

[Coquette Blacquin]

"She froze up. She was confused. And then, when she realized what I was saying, she panicked, sobbing and rocking."

[Zevran]

"That does not sound like she was thinking of Estelle's reaction instead of yours."

[Coquette Blacquin]

"I did mention Estelle."

[Zevran]

"In what context?" Zevran asks patiently. "Was she upset before that?"

[Coquette Blacquin]

"I told her I thought she knew better than to do this to estelle, and that's when she panicked."

[Zevran]

Hmmm. That is... both annoying and reasonable, I suspect. "Was that when she realized what you were accusing her of?" he predicts.
