NPCs

Matriarch Feystal stares a moment before speaking in an even, neutral tone. "You have one more chance to explain well enough that I won't leave you crippled and broken."
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

Coquette Blacquin

"I do not know how much you know already. I assumed you were aware of your underling's behavior. But perhaps you were not. So I will explain: that piece of worthless garbage was blackmailing me, but she went too far and got children involved. I refused to be party to any rape of children."

NPCs

Feythal's eyes narrowed as Coquette starting speaking but at the end they vanish, replaced by a dark firestorm incased in a bubble. "...that buys you another few minutes," she whispers, and the words wash over Coquette like a wind from the heart of the Sun Scorned Desert. "Start from the beginning. Be concise. Be explicit. Be direct. Be accurate."

She doesn't bother to tell her to be honest.
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

Coquette Blacquin

"She had explicit images of my wife, including a magical crystal that captured her image in mid coitus, in her wedding dress. Such thing was infuriating to me, but my wife claims to have no memory of doing so, and we put her to the test to find out. So I went back to declare her off-limits for further artistry of that sort, and in exchange for that piece of trash not revealing her infidelity and exploiting her further, I agreed to model for her. I expected a few lewd pieces to replace the ones she would have to destroy. What I got was months of torment, in several sessions a week. I declared sex with females as off-limits due to my marriage vows, but was forced to endure sexual congress with many males, including a brutal rape by some goblin adventurers she managed to round up from somewhere. The evidence of these sessions you will find back at her place, along with the creatures she had posing as my children and the remains of those who would do them harm."

NPCs

A good thirty seconds goes by in silence before Coquette gets a response. "Creatures posing as my great-grandnieces?" she repeats, that searing, drying wind dulling to merely that of a scorching Alessian day.
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

Coquette Blacquin

"I know not what, but my children cannot speak Abyssal nor tear out the throats of attackers with their teeth. So I left them chained for you to handle."

NPCs

"At their age?" Feythal murmurs. "Why ever not?"
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

Coquette Blacquin

"I have taught them Infernal, but they are physically unable to fend off attackers while chained. They are not built for that level of combat yet. But perhaps my ex-wife has been teaching them -- I did not leave them in an unsafe position, merely an uncomfortable one, just in case."

NPCs

"Infernal?" Feythal sounds a little surprised, with just a faint hint of distaste. "Ah, because of the stud's heritage? Logical, I suppose. Did they not speak to you at all?"
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

NPCs

"That rather strongly suggests they are not as they appear, yes. Even were their memories of you removed, children would still have called out to you for help," Feythal reasons. She studies Coquette for a moment, then asks with a hint of curiosity, "how did you disable my bound servant? Even with much of her powers chained, she is still a powerful being."
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

Coquette Blacquin

"I am also more powerful than I appear."

NPCs

"And where does that power come from?" Despite her even tone, a prickling on her skin washes over Coquette as instinct warns her this is no idle question.
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

Coquette Blacquin

Her lip curls, just a little. "From myself, my training and my skills. I would not barter with fiends or the like."

NPCs

The faintest hint of a smile shows for a brief instant. "Skills and training? You have not mentioned such before..."
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!
