[Zevran]

"That is a euphemism I have not heard in some time," Zevran murmurs dryly.

[Coquette Blacquin]

"Issue?" she asks, startled. 

[Zevran]

"Company."

[Coquette Blacquin]

"Oh," she says, with a startled little laugh. "That was not a euphemism. If you never want to do anything but play board games with me, that will be acceptable. I have plenty of sources for sex partners."

[Zevran]

Zevran studies her for a moment, then averts his gaze once more. "If that is so, then I do not believe I will be of concern to you," he finally says softly.

[Coquette Blacquin]

"Good." She pauses a moment, then adds, softly, "I do hope we can become friends, in time. I'm sure you must have been through hell, living how you have, and I don't want to be a source of torment to you now that you're free."

[Zevran]

Zevran's lips twist slightly, but he shrugs. "Perhaps. In another life, I'm sure we could be." He traces a pale strip of flesh that circles his neck. It looks almost like a tan line, but obviously isn't. For one, merikos drow rarely tan in the first place, and Zevran's skin tone would mean he's not one of the few that can. Moreover, there's a subtle depression in the skin, as if the flesh had dimpled inwards for some reason. "But that remains a far off illusion for now."

[Coquette Blacquin]

"Is there anything more you need, before I depart?"

[Zevran]

Zevran hesitates for a moment, then decides to gamble. "Shisou has asked to accompany him into town to share a meal. Is this permissible?" he asks slowly.

[Coquette Blacquin]

"Will you come back?" she asks, tilting her head like a bird might to study him. 

[Zevran]

"Better on my own feet than dragged by chains," Zevran replies with a shrug. 

[Coquette Blacquin]

"Then yes. Go, have fun, eat a good meal. Feel more mortal." She smiles. "Anything else?"

[Zevran]

Zevran bobs his head from side to side as if thinking. "...what kind of sweet does Shisou like and how might I procure some?"

[Coquette Blacquin]

"Shisou is fond of these little rice candies I have to import from Toukami, but aside from that... I believe he enjoys meringues. Just ask Chef to whip up a batch for you."

[Zevran]

"Thank you for the information," the merikos drow says with a deep nod. Not a bow, he'd do what he could to avoid having to bow to anyone ever again. He starts to step away from the wall, clearly planning to depart, but pauses. "...and yourself?"
