The Iron Bull

"If I accidently crush someone's skull because I didn't realize how much stronger I am than other people, it might mean I'm not evil, but it doesn't make the poor fucker any less dead."
People don't always tell the truth when you're polite. You've gotta poke them a bit.

Coquette Blacquin

"Oh, she wouldn't kill me." She smiles. "She loves me, remember?"

The Iron Bull

"Ummm." Bull rubs at his horn for a moment. "Yeah... well... Fer one, people can and have killed people they love before. And fer two, there's a lot she can do ta you that's not kill'n."

Coquette Blacquin

She suddenly puffs out her cheeks in irritation, scowling -- something he's seen her do, but only on rare occasions. "Cindy, you're being stupid. You can't trust her. Remember all the rape? You can't just decide things are good now."

Her face slackens a little. "But I do forgive her, Cedric. It's fine now. I have Bull, he won't let anything bad happen. So you go on ahead and rest. I got this."

The Iron Bull

"Uh, quick question? Or maybe two, 'cause first, was that Cedric and then Cindy again? Is that what jus happened?"

Coquette Blacquin

She nods. "Yes, Cedric pushed his way forward for a moment."

The Iron Bull

"Alright, neat," Bull decides, nodding firmly. "Also, agreed. I mean with Cedric. Well. Not about you being stupid, I don't think that. Yer..." He fumbles a little, then brightens. "Yer optimistic I'd say. You want to hope she's on the up and up and getting higher, even if  some of you thinks that--" He breaks off, stumbling verbally as he realizes just how too apt the phrasing he'd picked was.

Coquette Blacquin

"It's best to treat us like we're different people that happen to be in the same body, I think. I've never tried to explain all this before but..."

The Iron Bull

"You've-- not ever? Jus me?" The imisy minotaur sounds rather pleased at this. "Even before you got married? Your ma or sist--" Bull coughs awkwardly at Coquette's reaction. "Ah. Sorry. Uh. Right! Second question I had." What the fuck was it again? Uh. Hrrrm. Oh well.  "What'd happen to you all if he goes-- wait. He? Cedric is a dude's name, yeah?"

Cindy nods, gesturing for Bull to continue.

The Iron Bull

"I was kinda hoping for more than a 'yea' or 'nea' on that one," Bull confesses.

Coquette Blacquin

"Cedric is male. That's why he hates being pregnant. It reminds him he's in the wrong body."

The Iron Bull

Bull considers that for a moment. "That's... a new thing," he finally says, shaking his head a little. "Can see how that'd be weird for'em though. Anything I could maybe do ta help... not be outta sorts? I mean, I dunno, I could start belching in front of'a or we could play poker, drink ale and talk trash and brag a bunch?"

Coquette Blacquin

She smiles a little. "I don't rightly know. He's never had a friend who knew he was male before."

The Iron Bull

"Well, uh, whadda you think Ced? Wanna play poker, drink cheap ale and talk about crude and dumb shit?" He laughs a little. "Gotta admit, this is kinda neat in a weird sort of way. I mean, I loveee hanging with you, uh, Cindy, don't get me wrong, but could be really neat to have a guy friend too. And in the same tiny elfie package for extra convenience."
