Varisia sniffs a little, but doesn't press the subject for now. "I see. Well then, try and keep your answers brief I suppose. What do you prefer to read about? What are your chores?"

"A scholar then?" Varisia muses, giving him another look. "What classics have you read? Of whatever culture."

He starts. "Th-th-th-th-thi-r-r-r-d..."

"The third? In draconic, common or--" She pauses at his nod. "Draconic, mmh? That's... actually somewhat impressive. I'm no mage, but a careful study of magical theory is integral to anyone of any significance. How much of it did you follow?"

"He doesn't cast, if that's what you're wondering," cuts in Indou. "He's learned a few rituals, but without being a caster he'll never achieve true mastery of the subject."
