Shisou glances faintly at Indou before saying, "i-i-i-t i-i-i-is m-m-m-m-m-my h-h-h-hon-nor t-t-t-t-o b-b-b-be of s-s-s-s-erv-v-v-vice."

Ugh. Primera has more spine than this one. Still, even if he proves as useless as he seems, it will still be worth having the time with Coquette. Oooh, actually: "I'll want to go to one of the full-service, upper class spas tomorrow. And then somewhere exquisite for dinner. Somewhere esteemed for their seafood, in the style of the local cuisine. Hmm. Some form of entertainment and dinner out the following night as well, but we'll go with your recommendation for that one." She makes no real effort to disguise that this a test.

Shisou bows, standing and moving to the desk to get out quill, ink, and paper. "M-m-m-m-mon-ney is n-n-n-n-no c-c-c-c-conc-c-c-ern?" he asks, as he returns.

"Keep to the rule of two hands," Varisia replies after a moment's thought, referring to the saying about 'not spending more gold on something than you can hold in both hands,' which most take to mean thirty gold or so. "Per person, per day," she adds.

[Shisou]

Shisou nods, writing out the names of several locations on one sheet, then turning to a fresh page and quickly and skillfully jotting down characters in the Tengu language. "Y-y-y-you'll w-w-w-w-want h-h-h-h-him t-t-t-to s-s-s-s-sign," suggests Shisou, and he hands Indou a seal from the desk, pouring wax for him to impress the seal into. 

"This will be your letter of recommendation," explains Indou, handing her the second sheet. "It explains that you are here at our pleasure. They'll bump lesser clients to make room for you."

[Varisia Primfana]

"I see," Varisia murmurs, evidently approving of the idea. "What is the expectation in return?"

[Shisou]

"You a-a-a-a-are o-o-o-ur g-g-g-guest. W-w-w-e d-d-d-d-don't e-e-x-x-p-p-pect y-y-y-you w-w-w-will d-d-d-d-do any-th-th-th-thing d-d-d-discg-g-grace-e-ful."

[Varisia Primfana]

"Well put," ther merikos drow says with a pleased smile, easily reading between the lines of his answer. She takes the paper and glances at it, but only briefly. "What did you suggest?"

[Shisou]

"J-j-just th-th-th--"

[GamesMaster]

"Can't read the writing, huh? Kid should have known better than to assume you could," cuts in Indou. He glances at the paper. "Ah, the Red Fox or the Petite Princess for spas; kid recommends Marshall's for seafood but offers Blue Lagoon or The Establishment as backups if the location isn't to your liking. And he recommended a tour of the menageries with a meal at the gazebo or a dinner show at the Pearl for entertainment tomorrow."

Of course I can bloody read the-- I wanted him to explain his reasoning. "I see," she says instead, nodding. "What kind of shows are put on at the Pearl, Shisou?"

[Shisou]

"Th-the s-s-s-s-six p-p-p-pm is a m-m-m-mus-s-sic-cal a-a-a-and d-d-d-d-dance p-p-p-p-erf-f-f-for-m-man-ce. She seems like she wants to eat me for dinner in the fun way, she might like that sort of thing.

Varisia blinks twice. "...why does the second showing need a... password, I think you tried to say?"

"You can't let just anyone into something like that," comments Indou. "They'll behave badly. Only those who have shown themselves to be trustworthy."

"Something like--" She catches on, huffing and crossing her arms just so. "Tits are great, especially mine, but they're hardly magic in and of themselves."
