Zevran

"Oh good," he says with some relief. "I had feared you meant back to Alessa. But very good." He clears his throat. "Are you... Are you familiar with the drug called Anglust?"

Coquette Blacquin

"Yes," he says, his tone dark.

Zevran

That helps, a little. Though I also hate that Coquette knows about such a thing, and well enough to speak on it in that tone. "Shisou was dosed with it and then... directed at you. It seems to have been altered somehow, according to Isabel's, ah, exotic medicine expert, such as to soften the burning out of the self but at the cost of taxing his body even more. And I think-- he is not the most, ah, responsive but it seems to be addictive."

Cedric flinches. "We are seeking a healer for him, then, I take it?"

Zevran

"Very much so, yes," Zevran says in a low voice. "He is... He seems almost scared of women, though suspect it is more than he is scared he will... I'm not sure he understands that he was drugged. That he is capable of doing so, I mean. Or at least not well enough to realize what it means."

Coquette Blacquin

"Shisou... has trouble with performance. To think that he could.... it's abhorrent."

Zevran

Zevran shudders. "Enough anglust could make a golem fuck itself raw."

Coquette Blacquin

"He must be devastated. He's a gentle soul."

Zevran

That gets a pained look from Zevran and a small nod. "He... What little he's managed to muster in the way of initiative has all been words of guilt, shame and regret." And more than just words, though thankfully Carbone has proven xeself suitable for watching him at all times. I probably should not have threatened to melt down the amulet and use it to make a spittoon if xe let Shisou die in order to get a new wielder.

Well.

It certainly seems to have motivated xe sufficiently so perhaps I was right to. But I should certainly apologize for it at least. "From what I understand, he is finding it-- You asked him to, ah, not to stop, you knew what had been done to him. But to limit himself and he was unable to do so. It would have been a miracle if he had been, the substance he was given was not that different than pure anglust and I know full well how maddening that stuff can be. I doubt any mortal can resist it without some kind of magical aid."

Coquette Blacquin

"Would it help if I spoke to him? To assure him that I bear him no ill will?" After I speak to Cindy to make sure that she doesn't, anyway.

Zevran

Zevran nods slowly. "But not right now," he adds. "Last night was a bad night, and I'd want to make sure he's doing better before... we did anything that might go badly." He sighs gustily. "It might help. I think it will, to have your forgiveness, to know he still has your love and affection. But it will not cure him. I do not want you to be too hopeful. You-- well, you seem to have neatly cut away all memory of what occured, but I am familiar with repression and torture-induced memory loss. The pain still exists, a hidden, buried poison that will seep out over time. It still shall need treatment."

Coquette Blacquin

"What treatment?" he asks, a little bitter. "It's over and done. I don't even remember it."

Zevran

"Well, oftentimes, such repressed pain comes back over time. Poison seeping into a pure stream, an avalanche crushing a cabin, a bolt of lightning from rainless clouds. The only thing I know how to help against such is to make the 'now' as painless and kind as possible, to... soften the disaster, if you will. But a healer might, hopefully, know more."

Cedric just sighs. "We'll argue about it later. Anything else? I am getting concerned that neither myself nor Noire have seen Little Bitch."

Zevran

"I... I did not meet, ah, her. Before or during the fever." He makes a face. "I must ask; her name?"
