Coquette Blacquin

"You can't change what happened. So you have to keep moving forward."

Claudia Emerison

"I'm sorry," Claudia offers meekly, body tense and a few teardrops dripping onto Coquette's arm.
Someday I'll prove that intellect and creativity can match magic. Then maybe I'll have also proven...

Coquette Blacquin

"It's... it's alright," she says quietly. "I survived. So it's alright."

Claudia Emerison

Someday I'll prove that intellect and creativity can match magic. Then maybe I'll have also proven...

Coquette Blacquin

She shakes her head. "I'm a survivor. Anything I can survive, I can handle."

Claudia Emerison

"That doesn't mean it's alright," she says bitterly, though Coquette gets the impression its directed inward.
Someday I'll prove that intellect and creativity can match magic. Then maybe I'll have also proven...

Coquette Blacquin

"No, but it is what it is. I don't spend much time berating myself for the past. I can't change the past. I can only move forward."

Claudia Emerison

Claudia sighs, her strength exhausted. "...fine," she mutters, unconvinced but willing to let Coquette have the last word. "But, umm... What did... I don't really... After-- After I-- what did..."
Someday I'll prove that intellect and creativity can match magic. Then maybe I'll have also proven...

Coquette Blacquin

"Not important right now," she counters. "What's important is the next thrust. The marriage. We have to consummate it."

Claudia Emerison

Dammit, I don't remember what happened after I-- after I-- Claudia grunts, pulling away to lay on her back. "What... I don't understand, what's the hurry?" she asks, tone guarded as she takes in what Coquette's talking about.
Someday I'll prove that intellect and creativity can match magic. Then maybe I'll have also proven...

Coquette Blacquin

"It's almost morning. I worry they'll... come check on us."

Claudia Emerison

"Just the one morning after?" Claudia confirms, then explains at getting a nod, "then we have until dinner at the least." Which is good, because if we tried right this minute, I'd either piss myself or puke. Or both. Oh gods. "And that'll just be a cursory thing in the guise of bringing dinner. I, uh, I don't really get a lot if invites," she winces, "to weddings and such but I try to pay attention at least and, on average, it takes four to five days before newlyweds emerge even briefly. Two or three for brief visits from close family or friends and even then, I think but aren't sure that those visits are more sex than inspection so not really a concern for us at the moment unless you've made plans or arrangements you haven't shared and if you did then well I'd wish you'd have checked with me first but maybe we--"
Someday I'll prove that intellect and creativity can match magic. Then maybe I'll have also proven...

Coquette Blacquin

"Calm yourself, little one," she chuckles. "Use the restroom. Get comfortable. I would rather this be done sooner than later, just in case, but it sounds like we have a little time to wake up and compose ourselves."

Claudia Emerison

Claudia sucks in a huge breath, filling her almost collapsed lungs, then exhales just as noisily. "Right, yes, need to p-- err, use the restroom, yes. And brush my teeth," she adds in a mumble, wiggling backwards off the bed. Zevran deftly moves out of the way so smoothly she doesn't even notice him there as she stands up. She pause then, nose wrinkling. "Wait, little one? Isn't that, umm, like a child's love name?"
Someday I'll prove that intellect and creativity can match magic. Then maybe I'll have also proven...

Coquette Blacquin

"It can be a term of endearment," protests Coquette
