Zevran

"I'm sorry, my Lady." The soft murmur comes from a corner of the room Estelle would have sworn was empty and she's got a hand up, chant on her lips, heart in her throat, before she realizes it's the male in question himself. "If it helps, I can promise you that I will use all my skills, both schools, to ensure the procedure is as painless as possible while still looking suitably severe."

Coquette Blacquin

"See that you do." She shakes her head, ruefully. "And... thank you. Though do not think this makes up fully for your putting me in this position in the first place, and my agreeing to take the punishment that is rightfully yours. We shall discuss later what we can do to balance the scales between us."

Zevran

That is... not entirely without merit, Zevran admits to himself. He had taken it upon himself to help that slave, which set all of this in motion, despite the warnings he'd been given. He doesn't say anything however, merely bowing low in reply.

Estelle Emerison

"Ah, well, on that note... There is the question of funds," Estelle says delicately, rising to her feet so she can stand more fully under the water stream.
Our grandmothers escaped from the past. Our mothers secured our present. Now it's up to us to create a future.

Coquette Blacquin

"Yes," sighs Coquette. "I will have to see what remains of the jewelry I stole, unless..."

Estelle Emerison

There's a pauses as the drow steps partially out of the spray, then wipes her face clear of water to speak. "I don't have a precise number of course, but you should expect it to be at least twenty thousand gold," Estelle says very quietly, eyes steady on Coquette.

Coquette Blacquin

"Damn," she curses. "Then... what must I do to earn the money from you?"

Estelle Emerison

That is... an interesting reaction. Better than I'd feared, not as good as I'd hoped. So... typical for life, I suppose. "It's not a matter of 'earning' it. You are my wife," she says firmly. "Your debts are mine, your challenges and hardships mine. However, I'm not so noble as to... not care at all. That you instantly offered to, mmh, balance things between us is heartening." Turning in place, she gives herself one last pass with the washcloth before moving out of the spray entirely. "Unless it truly presses you, I would say we focus first on Mistress Odette, before we turn our attention inwards."

Coquette Blacquin

She lifts her head a little higher. "I do not like to have such an... imbalance hanging over my head. Not with my male and not with you."

Estelle Emerison

"Well, I would at think we need to know how tonight plays out, no?" She's nearly as proud as Grandmother, gods have mercy on her.
Our grandmothers escaped from the past. Our mothers secured our present. Now it's up to us to create a future.

Coquette Blacquin

She pulls a face. "Yes... I suppose so." She pauses, then adds, without looking at Zevran, "I have been beaten before. It is unpleasant, and undignified, but it is something my body can tolerate."

Zevran

Zevran clears his throat discretely, waiting until Coquette glances at him as way of permission to speak. "I cannot make it painless, not given O-- Mistress Odette's requirements, but... perhaps I can protect your dignity. Or rather, give you the opening to do so. She did not specify any details of the caning beyond who does it, the tool used and some specific results. That allows us a fair bit of wiggle room on how it's done."

Coquette Blacquin

"She did specify bare-back," contends Noire.

Zevran

Zevran pauses, then nods. "So she did, my mistake. Do you recall any other details?"

"The timing and location," Estelle supplies.

Coquette Blacquin

"and that I am to apologize after. So. How do we turn this to our advantage?"
