"...if I hafta," Claudia grumbles, though her eyes are actually focusing on Coquette's.

Still clearly at least half asleep, Claudia blinks owlishly at her wife. "You had a freak 'cause of the bull-man," she says sleepily. "So's I had'ta sedate you. Didn't calm you down 'nuff so I brought ya' home." A beast, then with a touch more alertness, she adds, "''lusion."

"An illusion?" 

[Claudia Emerison]

"Mmmh." Claudia yawns cutely, then nestles in close to Coquette again. "Secret. Boring. unim...por...." She breaks off her struggle to finish the word, instead yawning broadly.

"You... cast an illusion to make me seem unimportant so nobody witnessed me?"

"'llusion," Claudia agrees.

[Coquette Blacquin]

"i didn't know you'd made a gadget that can do mind-altering illusions. How does it work?"

There's a long spell of silence before Claudia shakes herself, as if to push back sleep a little longer. "Bought it," she mumbles.

"You bought a device? Oh. No, I understand. You bought an illusion." Coquette sighs. "How much do I owe you?"

"Ten million kisses," is the very firm answer.

"Claudia."

"Or a thousand peaks," she relents, a faint smile poorly suppressed.

There's a snort of laughter from behind Coquette. "Interesting exchange rate."

"Claudia, be serious. I want to be sure I repay you soon, so this doesn't hang over my head."
