Coquette Blacquin

"I meant more like.. how I'm doing or... whatever. I don't know." He sighs. "Anyway. You want me to read to you?" 'Reading' is one way of putting it -- without physical books, Cedric's just been making up tales that are honestly kind of entertaining.

The Iron Bull

"Oh. Sorry, I didn't follow," Bull says with a wince. "Uh yeah, a story sounds pretty good right now. Maybe something with boats?"
People don't always tell the truth when you're polite. You've gotta poke them a bit.

Coquette Blacquin

"Boats huh?" The sound of pages rustling. "I think I found one. There once was a ship that put to sea..."

Coquette Blacquin

Coquette arranges her skirts for the fourth time, trying to get comfortable on the perfectly comfortable cushion on the floor of her private chambers. She's alone, or as alone as she gets; Noire is fronting, with Cindy lurking for emotional support. And there's a ring on her finger that's she's waiting to activate to let her speak with the mind healer Estelle was able to set up.

Tethras Clan

"Hello?"

The voice is female and faintly lilting in the way of an elven accent. But Coquette can pick up more than most, catching the stronger but more subtle hints of draconic and elemental outsider tongues that pin-point this person as living-- or at least growing up-- in Nyra. The elven likely comes from long association, rather than upbringing. The voice itself is on the lower end of scale for your typical female mortal, bright and warm with a gentle kindness.

~Did I activate this correctly?~

Two words into the conversation and Coquette further realizes the voice isn't a voice. Or rather, it's not a voice you can hear out loud.

Coquette Blacquin

~oh no, what if I spill something on accident, like -- don't think it!!~

Coquette clears her mental throat. ~Hello? This is Coquette.~

Tethras Clan

~Oh good! This is Joyous Seline, but you can just call me Seli. How are you feeling this afternoon?~

Coquette Blacquin

~Nervous. Scared. Fine. I'm fine. How are you?~

Tethras Clan

~I'm doing well, thank you. Good to get off my feet for a bit, today had a lot of errands to run. And it's okay to be nervous about this, Coquette. It's very common.~

Seli takes a few minutes to go over the basic ins and outs of therapy, most of which is assures about Coquette's privacy. ~As for today specifically, this is more a getting to know each other conversation than therapy proper. Establishing a rapport, even a basic one, is vital before we can start our work.~

~How is this supposed to 'fix' me?~

Tethras Clan

~Heal and help you, not fix,~ Seli sends back firmly. ~You've been hurt but that doesn't make you defective or broken. That aside, there are three main avenues of assistance therapy can provide. The first is having a place, a safe and private place, where you can unburden yourself, vent your emotions and frustrations or just have someone willing to listen with their full attention. The second is helping you learn healthy coping strategies and unlearning unhealthy ones. The last is helping you work through thoughts or feelings you've avoided or buried in the past.~

Coquette Blacquin

~I don't see the use of any of that. I just want my wife's wife to stop looking at me like I'm defective.~

Tethras Clan

~Can you tell me more about that?~
