[Shiori]

"Very well. I can fit you in tomorrow morning."

[NPCs]

Dniss lifted a hand, covering his mouth briefly with his sleeve. "Ah, did I somehow miss yet another appointment that requires your time?"

[Shiori]

"I require rest at this juncture, for the sake of the life growing within me." When in doubt, lean on being pregnant. 

[NPCs]

His lips pursed, he studies her with lidless eyes for a long moment. "Then the hour before dinner." That would give her a good two hours to nap.

[Shiori]

"Agreed."

[NPCs]

"I shall make a note of it," was the rather pointed reply, along with a shallow bow and the sight of his back.

[Shiori]

Shoiri heads to her bedchambers, shifting the candlestick that she used as a sign that Jassinth should catch up to her there. 

[Jassinth]

It's almost twenty minutes before Jassinth slipped into her room, longer than it typically takes by double. He still looked a bit wane, but his stopped making funny noises so that's a good sign. "Yes, my Lady?"

[Shiori]

"Dniss wants some solo time with me this evening." 

[Jassinth]

"Dniss?" Jass blinked, then gestured for Shiori to continue.

[Shiori]

"Says I'm not prepared to speak to the Emperor's cousin, but you know what a little toad he is."

[Jassinth]

"Oh my yes, he's... hmm. Is... is that racist? Because he's reptilian?" 

[Shiori]

"Are toads... reptiles?" Shiori gave a small giggle, adding, "if only you-know-who had stuck around."

[Jassinth]

"No, they're amphibians," the ranger answered automatically. "That's why I said that; it would be like calling a kitsune a weasel or something."

[Shiori]

"Regardless. How should I handle him?"
