"Politely?" Jassinth offered with a shrug. "As far as I can tell, he's not a combat danger by any means, but I can be there if you want. Or on standby in my room. Any idea what his goal is? What he wants?"

[Shiori]

"Probably to discredit me. Officially, to make sure I'm prepared."

[Jassinth]

"Discredit you?" Jassinth hummed thoughtfully, then suggested, "perhaps also to ensure you speak only the words the Tigers wish you to?"

[Shiori]

"Very likely," agreed Shiori. 

[Jassinth]

"Which is such a shame, as you entirely intend to speak such words as they do not wish you to speak."

[Shiori]

"I hate all this subterfuge," she moaned in agreement. 

[Jassinth]

"Agreed," Jass grunted. A smile flickered into place right after, though it's tinged with exasperation. "If naught else, I tire of having to explain-- over and over again-- to Sky Lord that no, we cannot, in fact, simply eat their eyeballs." At least his new name is quicker to say, silly eagle.

"You know, we could just let him..."

[Jassinth]

"He'd get sick," Jass said firmly.

"And you would nurse him lovingly back to health."

[Jassinth]

"Can't be that much worse than the pellets, can it?"

Jass took on the look of a weary veteran. "It can. It is."

"Guess we'll call that plan B."

[Jassinth]

"I'd rather just stab everyone," Jass said bluntly. "But, uh, let's table both of those plans for now, yeah?"
