"Before I met you my life was one big neverending tragedy. But now I've transitioned and things are looking up."

"Still, there had to be some good, right?" Jass asked, a hint of pleading in his voice.

"Sure," she says, shrugging. "I was a little gay boy and I was co-husbands with two total hunks, that's not nothing."

[Jassinth]

"It is not!" Jass laughed, then darted close for a kiss. "Hmmmmm..."

"How about you? What's your dating history like?"

[Jassinth]

"Dating or sexual partners?"

[Shiori]

"Both?"

[Jassinth]

"Ah, well, for romantic partners, I've had a ten foot tall super nymph with an artistic bent as a casual but caring relationship," he smirked at Shiori, "and a more serious relationship with this really brave, caring, loving tree-blooded lady..."

Shiori blushes. "Aww... I'm going to fuck you up aren't I?"

[Jassinth]

"Ciren and Maeve willing."

[Shiori]

"I meant in the bad way -- I don't know what I'm doing and it sounds like neither do you. But hopefully we'll manage okay."

"Ah." Jass considered that for a moment, giving her worries honest thought. It's true enough that neither of us has had much in the way of conventional, healthy relationships. Mine with Maeve might well be the best either of us have had and... She was always kind and caring, yes, but I always knew we were not... a couple really. We went on dates and were friends, but we never dated. Still. It would be a lie to say I learned nothing from that relationship. And... 

"Still, neither of us know nothing about relationships. Yours were, ah, forced at best and abusive at worst, or at least that's the impression I get. But that means you've not only learned many things to never do or not to stand for, but also how to find good even in hardship."

[Shiori]

"I dated before I got married," she points out. "They were secret relationships, and very much frowned upon by my culture, but I did try."

[Jassinth]

"Even better then?" Jass answered with a touch of confusion on his face.  "Assuming they were at all serious, would that not just be more experience with romance?"

[Shiori]

"Yeah, so if I have more experience than you and I don't know what I'm doing, we're both doomed." A pause. "Plus it's... different, being a girl. Sexually, I mean."
