[NPCs]

"Dying," Dreamy croaks out, her 'voice' unhindered by the hug given it's an illusion anyway. A beat later, "oh wow, you smell nice," leads directly to a peal of giggles as Dreamy starts licking off Emiko's body lotion.

[Shiori]

"I can even give you the recipe for your cook to make candied bacon," adds Shoiri. 

[NPCs]

"Oh? Does she prefer it a certain way? Our cooks most often use the sap from a tafla reed to soak the pork belly in overnight, then deep fry it in grapeseed oil," Manu commented as she watches Dreamy and Emiko with fond bemusement. 

[Shiori]

Shiori nods. "That's all fine, but then the way I have been preparing it from there is to chop it fine, coat it in honey, and bake until the liquid is evaporated. That way you can break it into chunks for a special treat, or sprinkle it over rice and beef for her if she won't eat."

[NPCs]

"What if we crumble pup's bacon on top of new bacon?"

[Shiori]

"She'll get a tummy ache," said Shiori dryly. 

[NPCs]

"Worth it."

Emiko finally managed to push Dreamy out of licking range, mostly thanks to the bacon talk distraction. "P-P-Perhaps in s-s-small pportions?" she suggested, not seeming to notice she's gotten careless in her speech.

[Shiori]

"Perhaps. Or mix it with fish? She likes salmon."

[NPCs]

Dreamy let out a soft squeak. "Can you candy bacon salmon?" she asked in a hushed whisper.

[Shiori]

"Maybe, if you're a good girl and deserve it," Shiori teases. 

[NPCs]

"I don't think it wworks that way?" Emiko murmured to herself, trying to figure how how you could 'bacon' a fish.

"I would suggest smoked eel myself," Manu suggested. "It seems to me that the texture would pair better than fish."

[Shiori]

"With or without all the sugar?"

[NPCs]

"Heretic!" 

"With, but a lesser amount, I think. Eel is a strong flavor but more delicate than pork belly," Manu replied. "I am unsure whether honey or sap would suit better however."

[Shiori]

"My manservant can sell you some lovely maple syrup we brought with us from Raplin's Oak. The best plant materials come from there, you know."

[NPCs]

"Oh? I'm unfamiliar with that place. Tell us more?" Manu requested.
