Go Down

Carver Amell

Carol flinches. He's probably looking for me. Normally I'd go back to my chambers via the servant's passages, but... She glances toward the servant's hidden door, not wanting to explain herself to these newcomers. Under the bed it is. She rolls off the large four-poster bed, crawling underneath to hide.

Bethany

Under the bed? Really, Rull? Despite her thoughts, Beth feels only amused warmth at her twin's cliched solution. And at least she's a secret mess so there's dozens of bags and small boxes stuffed under the bed her twin can hide behind. Moving swiftly, Beth strips off her nightgown, replacing it with a shift, leggings and a mid-weight cotton dress. Wait. Fuck. She spins to glare at the servant's door, faintly relieved at seeing it closed. I hope it was closed the whole time or I just flashed my ass at-- nope! Not thinking about who they are or aren't or can't and couldn't be and nope nope nope!

Tova koshack

I can here the commotion and think a moment before no king and entering. "I'll escort her to her room." I say moving to the bed where the girl is clearly hiding. "Come along miss there not much time and neither of us can be seen here." I say hurrying her along. It is only on the nick of time that we are once more behind closed doors when a mock is once more heard. I motion for everyone to be silent as I place my ear agents the door to listen in

Carver Amell

Carol makes a face, her thin nightgown collecting dust in the corridor.

Bethany

"Sir Blacquin," Beth's voice calls out clearly. "What brings you to my bedchambers alone?" She puts no emphasis on any particular word, nor is her tone anything less than polite, respectful and cheery.

"My apologizes for the intrusion, of course, Miss Amell." The answering voice is male, highly refined and makes Garrett think of mead and daggers in the back. "But I'm afraid that Miss Carol has missed her lessons yet again. Have you perchance see her today?"

"My twin?" Beth hums softly and there's a faint rustle of clothes. "I'm afraid not. I seem to have slept very, very heavily this night and have barely just awakened in fact. Very strange really."

GamesMaster

"Don't mind me, sir, just cleaning," says the high pitched voice of Beth's lady's maid, making of herself a chaperone.

I nod it's safe to move again though I want to listen more still there's a wealth of knowledge to be gained carol. I motion us forward. Once the coast is cleare I ask the question burning in my mind. "Are you both safe here? We can take both of you with us there is always another way." I say

Carver Amell

"Who are you?" asks Carol, hesitantly. "We're not safe here, but the fire isn't..." She trails off, shy, looking for all the world like she wants to stick her fingers in her mouth but not allowing herself to.

Marian Hawke

"I'm--" begins Garrett, hesitating.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Carver Amell

Carol fixes her gaze on him, and Garrett wilts. "You can't be here either. You're dead."

Tova koshack

I quirk my eyebrow at that comment but hurry her and Garrett into a tiny passage. Rarely ever used that I rember from the short time I worked here for another job.....I pull us into an old weavers room and ward the door silently. "We're safe in this room now. I'm Tova this is Garret we work for the princess regent. Now tell me about this fire and your safety."

Carver Amell

Carol studies her. "You have money? A lot of money? Mother is... mother is ill, very ill. Beth won't do anything that would harm her."

Tova koshack

"I'm I midwife I can help her if I know what's wrong. And Elaina will cover the costs. I can take you to her if you want. But you need to be honest with me so we can help you."

Carver Amell

"It's.... it's her mind. It's gone, these four years since Marian died. She comes and goes."

Tova koshack

I nod "that's difficult but not impossible to treat. Still it's very doable with the right healers. We can help if you let us." I say gently. "We can get you a dress and then I can take you to Eliana and we can make a plan for treatment for your mother."
