Countess Elaina Moorwood

"Gregory died seven years ago. He was murdered. And Tova "

"I work for god." She cuts me off

Carver Amell

"not my god," mutters Carol.

Bethany

"What? Murd-- by whom?" Beth squints suddenly, eyes which had been darting between everyone snagging on Lance. "Wait." Her head cocks to the side and she leans down to murmur something slurred and almost sibilant to her twin.

Carver Amell

Carol shrugs, staring at Lance's back as he pretends not to hear them.

Bethany

Beth rolls her eyes discreetly at Carol but puts it aside. Always hated parties, even before we got Abbyed for years, so not surprising but would have been nice if Rull thought he looked familiar too. Oh well. "So; murdered?" she prompts the group, clearly unsure what answers she wants to push for, which answers she needs.

Countess Elaina Moorwood

"Yes. We're still pressing the guilty party. If there is something specific you want to know about the incident we can discuss that later, do you have any other questions for me?"

Bethany

Hundreds of them, yes. "Our mother," Beth begins, then immediately falters, unsure of how to even begin that topic.

Countess Elaina Moorwood

"She is safe and being cared for you don't need to worry she will be well looked after."

Bethany

That's what Gamlen said too, Beth thinks darkly even as she plasters on a fairly good fake smile. "Oh good. That's-- wait," deja vu much? "Did you say-- he died? Too? When? How?"

Countess Elaina Moorwood

"This morning. And act of god...." I trail off looking to Tova for an explanation

Tova koshack

"When I was being tortured I channeled that suffering into a call for help. I summoned an army. As part of that a messenger angle told gamllen that a war would be waged agensthij if I was not set free it scared hi. To death."

Bethany

Beth opens her mouth.

Closes her mouth.

Carver Amell

"What, that's all it took?" asks Carol, bitterly.

Tova koshack

"He wasn't in good shape and angles can be quite scary to look at."

Bethany

"'rull and I are taking a nap," Beth declares almost challengingly. She stands, one hand tightly gripping her twin's in a silent plea to come with her.
