"Dunno how to be a private guard." Don't have an ident.

"Sure you do and papers aren't a problem if you know people like me. You seemed quite happy in the forge district...why don't you stay here? You could work for one of the forge masters or in the palace or for me..." I trail off

"I could get an apprenticeship?" he asks, slowly.

"You could......or you could work security for them" I say god this kid is thick but then again I like em dumb

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"Sure, sure, but... I don't know... is there a job where I could do exhibitions, maybe teach?"

[Countess Elaina Moorwood]

"Of course there is dear. You could train the guards or teach children. Anything really....just stay here....with me."

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"You're just like your sister," Kor says slowly.

"No deer. I'm not she wants you to be her little puppy, her pet project. I've seen it before she makes you feel like the most important person in the world builds you up. And then she gets bird and leaves. And then where are you? I'll tell you where, you're on a ship full of strangers who have only tolerated you because you're getting the captain off and now you're stuck their unwanted and useless. Here you could have a life you could teach! You could get in another ship. All I want is someone to talk with from time to time. A friend. Nothing more. And I'm not s bad. Am I? "You wouldn't want... to be repaid in sex, or anything, would you?"

"I'm far too old for you dear! Why I'm old enough to be your grandmother! No kuronur I'd never ask you for anything like that!" I say fanning concern "has my sister tried to take advantage of you?" I've got her right where I want her. That bounty on this runaway princess is mine! Poor little kuronue you'll thank me when you're queen of Edo and my pest of a sister is in jail. "It's ok Kurunue. If you have his location I can bring him to you when you're ready. Things don't need to be complicated dear! I know how awful this month has been. But don't worry you're safe here. Leave everything to auntie Elaina! I'll look after you Kurunue." I say sweetly patting her arm

"It's Kor. I go by Kor now," he says, gruffly. "I... I have to think about it. I can't just... decide instantly like that."

"Of course dear take all the time you need. I can always come get you though it would be nice is you stayed.." I smile turning back to the tournament
