"For all thousand-odd people? You'd run yourself into the ground, wouldn't you?"

"We're starting with 70 to bring us to an even 100 and we can have a stagerd application period. Only taking a few at a time and only once a year limiting the number of applicants and we can also have a few people help out."

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"What about.. those of us wiht... shady pasts? Are you worried someone might call the Federation authorities?"

[Ryle “Rocket” Arora]

"It's not a great concern given that the border is closed and so they can't get through and neither can we but I understand your concern. We can filter for those with connections to the federation but the farther we get into this quadrebt the less likely we are to find anyone with federation connections and fondness"

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

They might not be able to just sail on through, but the guy who grabbed me sure thought he had a way back in, worried Kor, chewing his lower lip. "I suppose," is all he says. 

[Ryle “Rocket” Arora]

We can keep a close watch on it. And I'll take any sudgestions any one has that will make this feel safer."

I don't know if I';ll ever feel safe again, no matter what we do. Kor keeps that thought to himself. "It sounds great."

"Let's have a vote."  I call after a few minutes the votes are in "it's unanimous we will start the preparations to build ourselves a colany. That only leave one thing to do we should name it."

"...Sanctuary? Haven?"

"I like haven. I second haven!"

"Anyone else?" I ask "any objections?" "Ok the haven it is!" I say after the group confirms "once the modifications are made we will meet again and come up with our rules before opening up applications." I say with a smile "welcome everyone to haven colany!" I say cheerily ending the meeting

Haven. 

Kor lays in his bunk, eyes closed, trying to decide what will make him happy. To be fair, happiness feels a long way away. He can't recall the last time he was truly happy. It feels like he's been running his whole life, hiding, fleeing, trying to be smaller and less conspicuous. What does he want? He had let Elaina sell him on a dream, but that had been a lie, something to tempt him away from safety and into the arms of a bounty hunter. So. That dream is out. Or is it? 

The problem is safety. He needs to feel safe. He hadn't felt safe on the ship, and still doesn't. But would he feel safe on a planet, where he can't flee if they come back for him? If he goes to somewhere Elaina knows about, like a smithy, would he ever be safe there either?

His feet carry him to Tova's door before he can rethink things. This time it's not quite as late, though it's about dinner time. He worries she won't be home. He knocks anyway.

"Come in" I call from inside as the door opens I look up. "Their both doing an overhaul matnice." I say awnsering the unasked question. "Would you like something to eat? Tea?"

"No, I'm fine. How do I feel safe again?" he blurts. 

[Tova koshack]

"That's going to take some time. But there are thing you can do. I would recommend talking to someone you trust about what happened. There's meditations that can help and medications you can take but the best thing is time and support. "
