Go Down

GamesMaster

Yasha pulls back, letting go of Kor and dusting off his hands. "I don't have many chairs," he warns. "Someone will have to sit on the bed."

The three of them trudge to the cabin, where his prediction is accurate: there's two chairs at the little table, a foot from the bed, and a small kitchen with herbs hung up to dry, but nothing else.

I pull a chair out for Kor and take the second as yasha takes the bed. It's quite for a moment. I look at kor quitelty asking what they want me to do

Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi

"Why did you leave?" asks Kor, voice quiet but intense.

GamesMaster

Yasha lets out a long breath and sits back. It's odd how little of his age shows on his face. It's almost as youthful as Kor's except around the eyes, where there's a hint of wrinkle. "That's a long answer," he warns.

Yasha closes his eyes, not seeing as Rocket takes Kor's hand for support. "Well. While you were in the hospital, I had a fight with your mother--"

Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi

"Wait, wait, like when I was born?"

GamesMaster

"No, when you had that bad fever when you were six. Don't you remember?" When Kor shakes her head, he sighs. "You got real sick, kiddo. Like, real sick. We were scared stiff. Sometimes as young mutants grow they start to reject their organs, and then just... fail. We thought you were.... well to be honest, we thought you were going to die. There was a fight, and I hurt your mother. After that... I just coulnd't live with myself if I hurt you. So I stuck around long enough to be sure you'd be okay, and then I left."

Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi

Kor ducks a little as Rocket pets his ear. "I.. I needed you. When mom died--"

GamesMaster

Yasha's grief is plain, but only for a moment before he shuts down his face. "She died?" he asks, his voice hoarse, rough.

Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi

"Yeah, must have been a year or two later."

GamesMaster

"Why didn't you answer my letter, then?"

Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi

GamesMaster

"I wrote your mother and you. Said that if you needed me, just send, I'd be there. That I was sure enough now that I'd be safe, but I didn't know if she wanted me around. I assumed that when she never wrote back, that was my asnwer."

Ryle “Rocket” Arora

"Where were you wen you sent it and when? The responding quadrent have been setting up a blockade around the federation for years now.... it may have never make it through..." I offe as an explanation
