"But to do that I have to give up the Federation. Forever."

"I know that seams hard but what exactly are you leaving behind? A world that's afraid of you? A never ending list of expectations you'll never truly be able to live up to? Family can be moved if that's what's holding you back, but tell me honestly kor do you really have anything to look forward to here in federation space? Do you really have anything to loose?"

He looks away for a moment. "....my dad is out there. Somewhere. I kinda thought maybe... maybe I could find him. I haven't seen him since I was small. But I don't even know where to start looking."

"If you got a name I can put feelers out but if he's like you there's a good chance you'll never find him walking free."  The federation has been scooping up any modified person lately I don't know how to tell kor that their father is most likely either dead or in a prison camp.

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"Then, then isn't that all the more reason to stay? What if he needs help?"

"We can't help him from this side kor. Even looking for him if he is in a camp is a crime. The best we can do is look while we move then Rocket can use her connections to smuggle him out, but we can't do that if we're dead kor. Cause they won't arrest us they'll just blow us up like brayla."

"I don't understand, why would you help me?"

" it's because you're the same age Meca would have been....." I say softly taking Reapers hand in mine. "And because we can. If you can help someone then you should."

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

Kor wipes her eyes, shaking her head. "Alrgiht. Alright, you win. I'll go with you." I just hope I'm not making a huge mistake.

"Good. We're making a run for it. In a few days we'll be on the other side. If you give me his name I can start looking." I say smiling softly.

"...Yasha. Higurashi Yasha. But his friends call him Inu. It means.. it means dog." It's a risk but a calculated one. Actually, scratch that -- it's a risk based on a hunch, a gut intuition that she can trust these people. By admitting her father's surname, Higruashi, she admits who she is: royalty of the planet Edo, related to the shipping empire owners.

I can feel my knees buckle and reaper grabs me yo keep me on my feet. "Inu inu yasha if your father, the mad dog of Maris is your father?" I can feel the cold grasp of hatred rise in me. And then I see kor. So full of hope. So young. They probably don't know what happened at Maris. How he was the security for Dr. Mangala. My mind is raising

"He may have changed love." Reaper says softly stroking the wires where my hair used to be. "We've changed maybe he has too."

"Ever the optimist." I say smiling up at him. "I'll put out the word kor. There's a good chance he's free."

Mad dog? wonders Kor. "I... alright." And sure enough, getting a good look at the sword on his hip, it's clearly the same one the. Mad Dog bore. Wherever he is, he left his sword -- and his child -- behind long ago.

Captains log

It took us ten days to cross into capa. We picked up some supplies and we're able to transpire our run too.  We picked up a few passengers and made it over the border just in time.

It closed a few hours after we crossed. Now all we have to do is find Inu. And find new work
