Rocket’s ship

[Tova koshack]

"You're the only one who thinks that kor." I say gently feeling his pain and anger "and I'm not the one you're really mad at am I?" I say calmly

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

'I can be mad at you if I want! I'm dagnerous, did you know that?! I killed my uncle and he's a fucking war hero!"

[Tova koshack]

"There are no hero's in war simply those who live, those who died, and those who wish they'd died."

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"What do you know. You're a rebel! They're all cowards and traiters!"

[Tova koshack]

"You talk of things you no nothing about! You weren't alive during the war so you don't know you e never been in a battle in a war you don't know what it's like. To watch everyone and everything you've ever loved destroyed. I don't even know what that's like! My people never fought. But I have seen the memories of almost everyone on this ship. I have felt their loss and pain as they were augmented and forced to fight. As they made war across the galaxy. You and I will never understand what that's like! But we can be compassionate. We can listen to their memories and stories we can try and be patient with them when their ornery or rude or back in the war. We can be there for them as they try to heal and move on but this isn't easy kor. And if you're not up for it then that's fine but don't take your anger out on me because you and Rocket had a fight that isn't fair!"

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"We only had a fight because of you! You being indiscreet, you being-- being whatever the fuck, being with Rocket! I don't get it and I don't have to get it, I just work here, why is everyone always on my ass about things!" 

[Tova koshack]

"That's not true kor and you know it! Just because you're jealous doesn't mean you get to act out!"

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"I'm not fucking jealous! I just want to be left alone!"

[Tova koshack]

"You'll find this a very lonely place then." I say turning to go

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"Fuck you," says Kor, tears streaming down his face. Then he turns, lowering his sword, and throws himself back on the bed. 

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

Twelve hours later, Kor turns up for his shift, ashamed of himself and embarrassed. He doesn't make eye contact as he salutes the captain, and he's never been gladder when Reaper and he are dismissed from the bridge, albeit coldly, to go do their rounds. 

[Reaper]

I sigh after walking in silence for a bit. "So wanna talk about it?" I ask casually. Neither Tova nor Rocket wanted to talk about it last night and given that their both still pissed and kors casting like a kicked dog I'm guessing it's pretty bad

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"Not really," he mumbles. "Rocket yelled at me," he adds, defensively. 

[Reaper]

"She does that sometimes." I nod "what exactly did you fight about?"

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"Dun wanna talk about it."
