"Alright. I'll try those meds, I'll stay at least a few weeks to let them work. See what happens."

[Tova koshack]

"I'm glad to hear it. Tomorrow is my day off but after that I'd love to see you again for dinner or a chat."

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"We'll see." Kor manages a small, weak smile, but ti's a smile. 

[Doctor jones]

"Welcome to sickbay!" I call my normal cheery greeting. "Ah kor how can I help you?"

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"I just realized I forgot to refill my medication. Uh, Lithium, and then Tova suggested I go on adderax and Melatonin."

[Doctor jones]

"Ok but before I can prescribe you those medications I need you to fill out these forms. It's protocol." I say passing him the tablet with the five mental health questanaires needed to dingos and prescribe any of the conditions treated by lithium

Kor fills out the forms quickly. It's not hard; most of the questions are a "no" or "never", after all. "Alright, done. What's all this for? I didn't need it going on them in the first place. Is it the new meds?"

[Doctor jones]

I look over the questions and frown "Kor what was your original diagnosis?" I ask

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"Huh? Depression, why?"

[Doctor jones]

"Not bipolar 1?"

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"What's a bipolar one?"

[Doctor jones]

"It's a mood disorder where you have very high highs and very low lows and nothing in between. Kor lithium is a very serious medication which can only safely be used to treat certain conditions and according to your awnsers you don't have ANYof. Kor the lithium you were taking was missperscribed. I can't give you a new perspiration. What I can say is you do have depression and given your recent ordeal it's likely you will develop ptsd. So what I can give you is Wellbutrin which works similar to lithium and adderax for the depression and anxiety and melatonin for the sleep. We'll start with the lowest dose this month and check in next month and we will adjust as need be. Ok?"

"Um. But... I mean, it worked, so, why can't I have it?"

[Doctor jones]

"Kor did you feel anything when you were on lithium?"

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"Um. Not really? Everything was kind of hazy, and my feelings were really far away, so it was easier to manage them. Isn't that what an antidepressant is supposed to do?"
