Rocket’s ship

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"Great! Then you can help Samuel over there with the loom, while I get -- sorry, hang on, Tom's gotten tangled," he says, breaking off to go dart over to the beleaguered Tom. 

[Kira]

I smile laughing as I untangle the warp and weft. After an hour all the tangles are gone and the loom is ready to go. "What else?" I ask

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"The guys are making a good bit of yarn. Should we weave some decorations for the new living quarters?"

[Kira]

"An excellent idea!" I smile. I sit my self down at a loom and start to weave "weaving today and weaving tomorrow ol Donnie shone fine lines for the love! Weaving in joy and weaving in sorry ol dinnie shone fine lines for thee love lines for thee fine lines for thee love....." I sing brightly

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

Kor doens't know the tune and thus doens't chime in, but when her voice falls silent, Kor fills the silence with a song in Japanese about a spider, one with a similar weaving rhythm. And so they go back and forth, sharing songs from their culture for some while, as Kor begins washing and carding more wool to hand off to the spinners. 

[Kira]

I smile to myself I can make a home here I can be happy here. There is no place for me on home world. No room for those who will not have sex. But here I can weave and countless those in need here I think I can be happy at last.

[Ryle “Rocket” Arora]

"Hey kor!" I call ducking into the weaving room "can I borrow you a minute?"

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"Sure, what's up?" says Kor, hopping up and heading for the door. 

[Ryle “Rocket” Arora]

"We'll be wrapping up in a day or two and I wanted to know if you wanted to meet your father while we're still local or did you want to move on and come back at a later time?"

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"Uh." Kor stares blankly. "I don't.... uh... I mean I want... help," she whimpers.

[Ryle “Rocket” Arora]

"Ok. How can I help?"

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"I don't-- I can't--- how can I face him like this?" he asks, gesturing down at himself. "He's going to expect... you know... different."

[Ryle “Rocket” Arora]

"People change kor. You can tell him it's your style of clothing or that it's safer to be a boy or what ever..... if you're worried about seeing him because of the assault.... I get it..... but it wasn't your fault. He won't blame you."

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

Kor's ear twitches, and he turns away. "Maybe I'll visit him in disguise, not telling him who I am."

[Ryle “Rocket” Arora]

"You could do that. ..... would you like me to come with you.... use me as an in....we have history and it could take the pressure off you"
