Dreamed Into Life

[Illianna]

"So he did finally take his whore as queen. She must be with child again." It's not a question but a fact and he nods "tell me about Ariel"

[GamesMaster]

"She's been Exposed." The punishment usually involves a beating, then being tied to the rocks near the sea and left for the tide to drown or the elements to take you, depending on if the King is feeling kindly or not.

[Illianna]

"How high up." My voice is cold

[GamesMaster]

"I don't know. Maybe halfway?" That's gotta be the worst -- low enough to suffer when the waves come in, but the waves alone won't drown you, so it'll have to be exposure that does it. 

[Illianna]

I turn to my wife grabbing my dress "I need ten men, a bow and your fastest ship. When we return I'll walk you through the best places to invade and witch nobles will flip but only once my sister is safe here with us. Please love I can't lose her!" There's a thing Of desperation in my voice but still enough to stand firm before her. I can't enjoy torturing him while I know Aris time is limited. It'll take us nearly two days to go round trip and time is of the essence

[Ravna]

"They'll never obey you." Just as Illiana is about to protest, Ravna continues, holding up a hand: "I will lead the men myself. You will guide us."

[Illianna]

"Then let's go" I say pulling my dress on and heading out the door

The sun is setting as we leave port. I stand in the prow guiding us across the Chanel. The wind howls and the waves crash. My heart is pinning and the blood rushes in my ears.  By the gods may we be there in time.

"My mother told me" I sing the others jointing me one song dies and the next rises until I rais my hand for silence. We slowly prowl the coast checking the rocks until I see her. Naked and tied to the rocks

" we can go ashore just a head someone will need to cut her down and Cary her back I don't she has the strangth to stand." I whisper to my wife

[Ravna]

Ravna hops over the side of the boat in one leap, her hand on the side to propel her over. Then she strides up the beach, swuftly cutting the woman free and scooping her up in a bridal carry. 

[Illianna]

Its q hickory and seem less rescue and as day dawns we are far enough from shore to be safe. Ari wrapped in furs and cradled in my arms as I heal her wounds and warm her "thank you my love" I smile up at Ravna

[GamesMaster]

Arielle coughs weakly, eyes fluttering open. "Ill?" she asks, weakly. 

[Illianna]

"Rest now sister you're safe. I'll never more send you away I promise."

[GamesMaster]

"Never gonna beach agani," she mutters, coughing some water out of her lungs. 

[Illianna]

"It's a good thing we don't live on an island anymore" I laugh gently stroking her hair

[GamesMaster]

Guards come, belatedly, puffing from exertion as they race from the nearby fort; before Ravna can give an order, Arthur dives overboard, splashing up the beach and decking one in the face. Two men come to back him up, but with a calculating expression, Ravna stops them. And she's right. Arthur dispatches the two men handily, snarling in rage.

[Illianna]

I look in shock as he does my heart warming. He loves her..... then it hits me. He and Ravna court the same. She's not been angry at me but angry for me. She would do the same if I was in aris place. She has done the same for me. I look up at my wife with new ice and understanding. I gently lay ari down to rest and rise walking to her side. "He's a good fighter. I see why you chose him. He'll make a good husband for Ari" I say gently watching him swim back
