Dreamed Into Life

[Illianna]

"Why can't you accept that I'm capable?! I took down an army to impress you and you still insult me! I've done everything you've asked of me! Why do you hate me so much!"

[Ravna]

"Hate you?! Hate you! You ignorant child! You mewling whelp!" With every word she moves closer and closer, backing Illiana against the opposite wall. Unable to find the words to express how she feels, she instead forces Illiana into a fierce, hard kiss, demanding her body yield before her mastery. 

[Illianna]

Rage. White. Hot. Rage. Flows down my spine and through our bond how dare she kiss me after she insults me! I shove her hard. "You can't just kiss me and shut me up! Gods you're infuriating! You force me to learn your ways but you've never bothered to learn mine! I'm not like your men you can't insult your way into my bed! And why wouldn't I assume you hate me when all you do is scream at me and insult me! You're just like my father!"

[Ravna]

Ravna slaps her then, not bothering to reply. 

[Illianna]

"Get out." My voice is hard and tires sting my eyes my heart is breaking

[Ravna]

"No. Control yourself."

[Illianna]

"Get out" I say again tires running down my face pain and rage raising

[Ravna]

"When you cease acting like an ignorant child I will cease calling you one. You blunder in and insist that things change befor eyou have appraised the situation at all. You assume I know nothing of your culture and seek to instruct me inf ront of my men, causing me to lose status in front of them, and you do not even care! You care nothing for me, you only care for your pretty baubles and your own power. Ignorant, airheaded, stubborn mule of a girl! And then you go and frighten me nearly to death! You could have been killed! You could have miscarried! You could have been seriously wounded and I nowhere near to help!"

[Illianna]

"You think I know nothing? I see how they treat you! It's not my power I'm after but yours! I could disappear into the woods and be happy! I'm doing this for you! You want power, you want an empire and I mean to give it to you!"

[Ravna]

"How would you feel if I stormed into your rooms and told you, drop everything, you're going to become a viking now, and that will give you your dreams if you only abandon everything?!"

[Illianna]

"You mean my life? You stormed my castle stole me and Ari from our home forced me into a marriage had me rapped! And then said 'you'll be happy if you just give in' so I did. I gave you what you wanted! A Viking wife! And you resent me for it! You said you wanted a strong wife but every time I show you strangth you fight me! You don't want a sting wife you want to break a strong wife

[Ravna]

Ravna recoils as if slapped. "No! Never! It's true I don't want a strong wife because I am a strong woman and I do not share my power! You were never supposed to be a viking, you were never supposed to be one of us, you were just meant to be a... a means to an end! I was never supposed to love you like this! I've never loved before, how am I to know how it's done?! You were never supposed to be my Missing Half, just a tool I used to get heirs! I don't know how to be a woman, I only know how to be a jarl!"

[Illianna]

"You could have said this sooner you stubborn fool." I chide shaking my head and stepping closer. "Let me teach you to be a women. You've thought me much let me teach you now." I say gently letting the anger and tension go. She loves me. That's all I need to know. We can get past this so long as she loves me and I love her

[Ravna]

Ravna takes a step back, her shouts exchanging for a whsiper: "I cannot. You will unmake me. I will never be strong again if I let you humble me."

[Illianna]

I step closer "I don't want to humble you out there just in here. I don't seek to dominate you just to be loved in a recognizable way. I just want you to treat me as your wife and love if only behind closed doors."
