There's a sound.... My head is pounding....shit...I drank....a lot! Fuck. I fell off the wagon.....he's gone and he's never coming back the thought hits me as the phone rings again. "Hellooo" I rasp hungover into the phone... I hear a sniff and feel my heart twinge. I know those sniffles "Jamie?"

[Jamie D'vart]

"Toby?" he whimpers. "Toby, I'm--- I'm coming home."

[Toby]

"You are?" My voice hitches "you're not leaving me for a Frenchman?" My voice is full of emotion. "When are you coming back?why?"

[Jamie D'vart]

"L-leaving you? What the hell?"

[Toby]

"We had a fight and you left...." It's not a whimper it's not! "I've missed you so much Jamie! I'm so glad you're coming home!"

[Jamie D'vart]

"Are you... okay? You sound...."

[Toby]

"I......." I have to say it he disproves the truth. "I'm hungover....I....I relapsed....I'm so sorry" my voice hitches and breaks and theirs tires in my eyes. "I'm gonna dry out and I've made an appointment to see my therapist again....actually mala made me the appointment and said I'm go or else....but I'll be ok, I promise, I'll make myself get better for you I will!"

[Jamie D'vart]

"You... you got drunk?" asks Jamie, quietly. "You... you just... you've been drinking and having a good time while I've been--"

[Toby]

"Jamie I'm an alcoholic drinking isn't a good time. It's lonely and self destructive and not fun at all. You look like you've had much more fun than me, drinking bourbon and wallowing in self pity and depression. You got all dressed up and had a night on the town!"

[Jamie D'vart]

"I-- I didn't-- you don't understand anything!"

"Jamie what's wrong?" Consern sinking into me "baby what happened

"Nothing," he says bitterly. "I'm having a great time."
