I smile as he goes and look back at my teacher. "brahma what is your name"

Ryuu grabs for Raja's wrist. "Wife, may I speak with you in private for a moment?"

I rise gracefully and follow him back outside. "What's wrong Ryuu?"

"She is a.... I do not know the word in your language. Please forgive my crudeness. She is a woman who has sex for money."

Ryuu pulls back, frowning. "My father selected her. Does he think you are not capable? She is... these 'hookers' are talented in many areas. Singing, dancing, tea ceremonies..."

"Oh yes ours are as well. Though I'm sure our carimonies are not the same.... Perhaps he just wanted to teach me to be Japanese?"

Ryuu's frown lessens a little. "yes, that must be it. He must not have meant... sometimes, when a woman is, ah, unable to get with child, a geisha is given to the husband..."

"We have been wed less than a fortnight. It is too early. My father must have meant her to teach you ceremonies and dances and such."

"Then I shall learn well and prove what a good daughter I can be for him,

Ryuu's face softens further. "You are a better daughter than I am a son, I think," he praises her.

"Perhaps but you have been a better husband than I've been a wife. You have bent for me and I have been stubborn I will be better for you"
