"...sour?" he offers in Japanese, knowing she has no way of knowing if that's correct. he tries some, then nods. "Sour, yes."

[Raja kumarie]

I nod "sour" I repeat "yes the sour mellows the spice" I say happy to have the right words. "I hope it is good even though it is different"

[GamesMaster]

They eat in silence for a few minutes, trying the new foods -- using liberal amounts of the sour yogurt.

[Raja kumarie]

they don't  like it my heart drops a bit will Ryuu still let me cook for him if he ever. Has to. Eat rice with yugart? They don't seem to like anything about me or my people. Not our food, or dancing, or travel, or riding. They don't let their women leave!   my thoughts are racing but I keep a neutral face and eat quietly

[GamesMaster]

"This is delicious," says Seiya, smiling though her eyes are watering. "Perhaps you and I should have a lesson with our cook? To teach him the things you like to eat?"

[Raja kumarie]

I nod softly "I'd like that" I say forcing a smile. at least mother is trying to love me. My father and brothers could learn from her a small bell chimes and my face brightens as Vashti brings in a honey cake. It is a rich golden color with a shiny mango syrup on top and small chunks of the sweet fruit cut into flowers. I smile as I cut a slice of the sticky cake and place it before Ryuu

Ryuu tries it, eyes widening. "This is delicious. Very sweet. Like you."

[Raja kumarie]

I beam at him " I am glad you like it. It takes a long time to get the rice into a paste and yet it is well worth the effort for your happiness'

[Ryuu Ishikawa]

"Tomorrow I shall have Cook prepare Mochi for dessert," Ryuu says, with a soft smile. "You will like it."

[Raja kumarie]

I nod happily as the meal comes to a close. "thank you all for trying something new" I say giving my family a small bowl

[GamesMaster]

"It was our pleasure," says Seiya, as she bows back. Ryuu's father gives a small nod of the head, then says something in Japanese, and Ryuu and he step outside to talk as Seiya finishes the goodbyes. "Thank you so much for having us, dear."

[Raja kumarie]

" it was a lovely time mother please visit when ever you like. I will be glad of your company" I smile and walked her to the door all in all it was a lovely night. Even though my father is rude.

[Ryuu Ishikawa]

Ryuu comes back in from bidding his father goodnight red in the face and unable to meet her eyes. "That was a disaster," he moans, raking his hand through his hair. "Are you satisfied with your meddling?"

[Raja kumarie]

"what?!' I ask startled "what are you saying? Your Turkish is bad you have the wrong word. Dinner was a success. Success is the word you want for all went well"

[Ryuu Ishikawa]

"Father is furious. He has ordered me to reign you in, to take you in hand and teach you the ways of a good Japanese wife."
