"I mean, it'll be minor for right now so Sophia could probably make something to let you be around him without a headache." ACutis signed a little at that. "And probably not too many things would try to feed off him right now, and THAT'LL be helped by me sticking nearby till he's better able to sort things out. Things have long since stopped trying to feed off me and no one wants to try messing with someone when something larger might be around to turn them into salt or something to that effect." That caused him to pause a moment. "Also, when did you get so strong that I couldn't pierce through a protection even when I tried?"

[Sophia D'Vart]

"Turning gave my spells a little extra juice. I think it's the ambient magic in my body," she explains. "They last about twenty percent longer, now, for the same amount of effort."

[Acutis D'Vart]

"That....would make sense....huh. Would also probably explain why he's so strong from the start, too." He turned to Rich. " Any chance it's something you've run into at work?" Which was his way of asking if he could actually tell them something about this without getting into trouble.

[GamesMaster]

"There have been cases," admits Rich. "Not very often a spellcaster is Turned. I don't know why, some taboo among the shifters."

[Acutis D'Vart]

"So, going to watch out for that." Acitus pinched the bridge of his nose. "And...that's about all the planning I can do without causing traffic, a forest fire, or possibly multiple murders in Ancorage. Switch back to questions, please."

[Sophia D'Vart]

"So how long are you staying in town?"

[Acutis D'Vart]

"Till I'm sure that Jamie isn't going to hurt themselves or anyone else. Jamie's a good kid and I know he doesn't want to hurt anyone, so till I'm sure he's learned enough not to, it's a bad idea." Acutis looked...troubled wouldn't be the right word. Conflicted?

[GamesMaster]

"What about....?"

[Acutis D'Vart]

"I..." Acutis sighed. "I know she's alive, but she's VERY good at hiding. As much as I know that I need to find her, leaving Jamie like this...I'm not going to make the same mistake." He had always taken it hard that Sasha just...disappeared. He'd thought she was just going through growing pains and didn't try and keep up with her. He even had mentioned that he'd talked with her about his own Nature and why he seemed so sure about how he was living. He obviously blamed himself for not guiding her more. "Once Im sure Jamie is alright, I can go back to trying to find her."

[GamesMaster]

"She clearly doesn't want to be found, Cutie," says Rich, and his voice is gentle and full of sorrow. 

[Acutis D'Vart]

"As someone pointed out, just because she might not WANT to be found, doesn't mean she's correct. Or that I shouldn't still try."

[GamesMaster]

"Cutie.. you have tried. You've done more than anyone can ask of you."

[Acutis D'Vart]

"Well, except for myself. Which is the standard I've always gone with." He shook his head. "Anyway, that's not the point. I'm gonna be staying around till Jamie is going to have some ability to choose and won't accidentally eat a coffee shop."

[Sophia D'Vart]

"And my life is still up in the air."

[GamesMaster]

Rich nods. "Alright. Then I'll focus on work -- I suspect you're about to be fired and could use some extra cash."
