Haven: The Beginning

[Wylde]

Wylde opens the door, kneeling to pat Snowball on the head. "You poor dear, changing twice in one afternoon -- you must be starved. Let's go grab food."

[Snowball]

Without changing back, I scamper after Wylde, and after she takes a seat at the table, I sit down on the floor, looking up expectantly.

[Wylde]

Wylde frowns. "We don't do that here, Snowy," she says, gently. "In this house, we eat at the table."

[Snowball]

I change back, politely seating myself next to Wylde with a nod. "...You want me to eat kibble at the table? Won't that smell bad for you guys?"

[Ryle “Rocket” Arora]

"We don't have kibble, dinner tonight is humus, koffite salad, ginger chicken, and potato fritters. We also have chai to drink along with water in the blue pitcher. Eat your fill. If you go hungry it's not my fault." I tease taking a swig from my cup of blood.

[Snowball]

"Oh, um... Okay..." I timidly fix myself some food. I've never really eaten people-food before, so as I go to get myself a plate, I have no idea how to portion it out. I decide less is more, getting myself a tiny bit of everything, and reseat myself.

"Hi, you're Psychonaut, right?" I say to the woman across from me.

[Wylde]

As Snowball glances away, Wylde slides half her potato fritters onto the other woman's plate. Then gets herself some more because she's hungry too.

[Annanova "Anna" Belic]

"Hey, yeah. Annanova. Y'all can call me Anna, by the way." She smiles a little nervously. "I take it you're Puppy?"

[Snowball]

"Yeah, Snowball is my name. Um..." I fiddle with my food, taking a bite. Immediately, my mouth floods with saliva. "Oh my god, this is so good!!" I wolf down more. "God, thank you so much!!!!"

"Anna was just about to tell us about her trip." I say gently picking at my food. Maybe one day I won't miss the taste so much

[Annanova "Anna" Belic]

"Uhhh. Yeah...." She coughs awkwardly. "Well it's certainly been a long trip, but I'm really glad to be out of that damn car. I've been in it for months now." A shaky breath curls out of her mouth as the thought sinks in. "Holy fuck...."
