Movement of the Wilds

[Wylde]

"Yeah, there's a lot of mixing in my family, so I came out pretty light. I bleach, though, I don't like my natural light brownish-blonde."

[Kira]

"My hair is dark brown and curly"

[Wylde]

"Curls," she breathes, enraptured. "I'd love to be allowed to touch them someday."

[Kira]

"Oh um... I could give you a pice once I cut them off next week. If you want..." what am I doing? Offering a crazy women my hair!

[Wylde]

Her eyes are wide, and she nods, a small whine coming out of her throat. "Yes, please. I will buy a locket to keep it in."

[Kira]

"I'm not sure you can keep that much in a locket...." I muse

[Wylde]

"I'll get a big locket. Or five lockets. I don't care. Whatever it takes."

[Kira]

"I mean it'll all be in a bag so you can just pick the bit you like and give th rest to the birds"

[Wylde]

She lets out a small whine. "You're cutting all your hair?"

[Kira]

"I have to....a woman shaves her head at her wedding before she dawns her tichal, a special head scarf only married women wear, that way the only one to see her hair is her husband when it grows back."

[Wylde]

"Wedding?" she whines, clearly distressed. Her big eyes brim with tears. "Will I ever see you again?!"

[Kira]

"Why are you crying?" I ask concerned this women is clearly unstable

[Wylde]

"I'm sorry, I'm a mess, I'm so sorry, only, I'm in love with you and I can't-- I can't control it, it's just a thing that happens among my people, and I wasn't going to say anything for a while, maybe ask you out like a normal person, but-- but you're going to get married. Probably to a man."

[Kira]

"I'm.....im not sure I followed that...."

[Wylde]

"Can you keep a secret? A, a sacred one?"
