"Of course. I do what I can to take care of them as well."

NPCs

Cadmus clicks his tongue weakly, then continues, "for your people."
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

GamesMaster

Don turns to look at his father. "...dad?" he asks, hesitantly.

Andreas Amell

"You now," Cadmus says softly, expression tired and filled with a sort of bittersweet regret.

Nervous at interjecting, Andreas nevertheless finds himself suggesting, "I think he means he's helping you, help them? Or... something?"
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

GamesMaster

Don rests his forehead against Cadmus's, taking a deep breath to steady himself. Still smells like Dad. How much longer will this scent exist in the world?

"My people," he agrees, after a time. "Our people." Now he looks up at Adonis, and for a moment his eyes are shining with unshed tears. "Everything for the Tribe. That's the oath a Keeper swears, and that's the oath I swore when I took office."

Andreas Amell

Andreas licks his lips with the tip of his tongue. "But... how do you-- does a Keeper-- decide which part of the Tribe needs your... whatever they need most?"
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

GamesMaster

"To each according to their need, from each according to their ability. It's as much part of the job to push those with more to give more as it is to distribute to those who have less."

NPCs

"Practice, wisdom, faith," Cadmus adds, studying his grandson as best he's able.
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

GamesMaster

"It is crucial to know your people. To live and work and walk among them."

Andreas Amell

"Of course," Andreas agrees, nodding. "One cannot rule over a mystery."

"zi'Ulthlis," Cadmus notes with mild amusement.
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

GamesMaster

Don snickers, not bothering to translate that.

Andreas Amell

Blushing, Dreas mumbles something about a 'book for his birthday' and 'someone should have told him that wasn't another poet.'
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

NPCs

"Poet?" Cadmus asks after a moment, curious.

"Grandpa invites a lot of artists to my birthdays, so I can talk with them," Dreas mumbles, only half explaining how or why he'd need to tell him who Panis was. Or what had happened because of the confusion. The red in his cheeks has traveled down to his neck though, which is telling.
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

GamesMaster

Adonis raises an eyebrow. "Sounds like a great story. Our people make amazing storytellers, do you know that?"

Andreas Amell

Quickly latching onto the lifeline, Andreas nods. "Yes, I've heard that before. It's because," don't say thieves/liars Kato stories, what the fuck brain! "Catfolk have a cultural preference towards oral history keeping, I think?"
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?
