[Andreas Amell]

"That's understandable, I'm sure." I have no idea what what you have to do to end up looking-- and smelling-- like you do right now, but it's certainly exhausting, of that I have no doubt. "We're only a few more minutes from the temple; I'll arrange for your bath, then get food. Is that amendable?"

[Charon Tethras]

"Sure. Sounds great." 

Charon's mood lifts once he's been cleaned and dried, and lifts more as he gets food in his belly. Real food, not just cheap rice.

[Andreas Amell]

"I couldn't find anywhere nearby with proper venison," Andreas explains as Charon digs into the bowl of chicken and cream stew. "Just some dried venison strips, which hardly does it justice."

[Charon Tethras]

"Hey, chicken's chicken," he says, with a shrug. "Thanks."

[Andreas Amell]

"Yes, which makes it not venison," Andreas replies with a smirk.

[Charon Tethras]

"I haven't had real chicken since I left home," he admits quietly. "Been surviving on beans mostly."

[Andreas Amell]

"Oh." Andreas is quiet a long moment, then he clears his throat. "I should go ask about that lineage test," he finally says awkwardly. "Do, umm, do you want me to get more food?"

[Charon Tethras]

"...I live with my brother and sister. Adopted. Can you get a bag of stuff to take home maybe?"

[Andreas Amell]

"I think I saw a Toukami style bakery, I can see if they have any meat or bean paste buns left? Those can last a couple of days and still taste great."

[Charon Tethras]

"That would be great. Thanks." 

[Andreas Amell]

Wait, he mentioned fostering. "Are they, umm, is their diet the same as yours?"

[Charon Tethras]

"Oh no. My brother's a kobold and my sister's part something large, like troll or something. We're not entirely sure."

[Andreas Amell]

Hmm. That should balance out then, amount wise. "Do they need anything special then? Or have to avoid anything? I think kobolds skew carnivorous?"

[Charon Tethras]

"Yeah, a little," he says with a nod. 

[Andreas Amell]

"So..."
