Charon Tethras

"I hope you've never had to subsist on beans for months," he says quietly, before shoving more meat into his mouth. Come to think of it, his coat and hair have a lot less luster to it than Andreas', and his tail seems to be sparser in fur, as if his body had just given up on thickening out his coat.

Andreas Amell

"I hope you never will again," Andreas says just as somberly. He gestures at the table. "This isn't the norm, a dozen kinds of meat dish and all that, but I can't recall a day that didn't have at least one meat focused dish being served."
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

"Are you like me? I can't do vegetables basically at all. I just get bad gas and end up with no energy. I have to do meat or at least high-protein things like beans or peanuts."

Andreas Amell

"Really? Huh. No, I'm not carnivorous. I can't do a lot of vegetables though. Fruit is easier, or breads and the like. My Grandne says it's something to do with the chlorophyll, that my stomach has trouble breaking it down." Andreas pauses, then clarifies, "basically, the greener something is, the worse it is for me. I think my tolerance is because I was given small bits of fruit and bread and such while I was still growing?"
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

"I can stomach bread but it gives me bad cramps, and fruit is just right out. Horrible cramps all day. I guess it's the sugar content. I can do desserts but they can't be overly sweet."

Diligence

"My theory is that he has trouble with sugars in general, hence the avoidance of carb-o-highs and frooc-tose," Dil adds, his pronunciations implying that he's only read the words and never heard them spoken.
All I really want from life is a cozy den, my real family, good food
and a couple dozen skeleton servants.

Charon Tethras

Charon nods. "Which is fucked up, because bread is cheap and meat is expensive."

Andreas Amell

Andreas gives Dil a pleasantly surprised look and a nod. "That makes sense, at least to this novice. Grandne or Auntie Merrill are who you'd want to talk with for any kind of certainty." He pauses, then explains, "Grandne is a Seeker, a very, very learned and respected one. Ne has put a lot of time and effort into learning the foundations or better of basically every possible field. And Auntie Merrill is a healer, studying under the Doctor."
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

Charon nods slowly. "About that... I actually had a thought you might like. What if we, um, traded clothes for a day or so, and I went home and met your family?"

Andreas Amell

"Huh? Why would-- I can just get you something nice to wear of your own," Andreas tells him gently. "Me wearing your stuff would just be... weird?"
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

"No but like... I would pretend to be you."

Andreas Amell

Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

"So I could kind of... meet everyone without revealing myself. So I don't get like, pounced on and trapped."

Andreas Amell

"Ohhh." Andreas leans back in his chair, mulling that over. "Oh. Huh. That's... hmm."
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

"and like, wouldn't it be nice to be me for a day? You could travel around the city without anyone knowing who you are, see how the other half lives."
