Garret Tethras

"Turning yourself in and cooperatively fulling with the investigation, combined with continuing to show clear signs of remorse and acceptance of fault will help as well. The Lantern provides adequate funding for its legal branch but only just; if they can quickly arrive at an acceptable outcome for a trial, they frequently will take it." Garrett paused a moment, then added, "presuming the alleged victim does not protest, of course."

Andreas Amell

"Oh." Andreas gulped. "That... that might, uh, might be... I don't know. I barely know her! And--" And my brother evidently raped her before joining me for an orgy!
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Carver Amell

"Look, I'll have a talk with Adonis, see if he's amenable to the plea bargain idea. The only way it won't go forward is if he's going to fight it."

Andreas Amell

"What if he won't? Go along with it," Andreas blurted out.
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Carver Amell

Carver's expression darkens. "Then Garrett can be both our lawyers."

Marian Hawke

"Carver Firethorn Tethras!"
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Garret Tethras

"It would be advisable to allow another, less directly connected, person to act as the instigator to such a crime. Your odds of successfully avoiding--"

Marian Hawke

"That's not the problem!"
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Andreas Amell

"Please don't kill my dad," Andreas whispered softly, chin touching his chest and his arms wrapped around his waist.
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Carver Amell

"He's not your Dad," grumbles Carver, unsure whether he wants to put the emphasis on 'he' or 'not'.

Andreas Amell

"But he should have been... could have been," Andreas finished in an even softer whisper. "It doesn't-- I think I need to talk with Keeper Miki again. Or maybe Cadmus."
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Marian Hawke

"What? Why, kitten?" asks Marian, puzzled.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Andreas Amell

"I didn't-- or at least, I wasn't paying attention to-- what... how it would work. For the Tribe. I... I mean..." He shifted in his seat, his posture screaming about how much of a mess his emotions were. "The victim was one of the Tribe. Or at least their guest and, uh, more. I should at least... hear them out? Get their side?"
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Marian Hawke

Marian glances to Garrett, as if asking his opinion. Weird -- isn't he her summons? But then, everyone treats him like his opinion matters, and there's some weirdness around how he was summoned exactly...
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Andreas Amell

Most of his cousins disagreed, but Andreas had more or less settled on an explanation years ago. Clearly, Aunt Marian-- or Liz, as Garrett still calls her half the time-- had shaped her eidolon summons into being someone that covered for what she decided where her weaknesses. If he had gone down a similar path, that's what he would have done for sure; a helpmate that could take care of the mundane parts of life and help ensure he didn't drown in his art.
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?
