[Father Lelldorin]

"Whatever makes you think you are not normal?" Lelldorin asks with a small frown.

[GamesMaster]

"I'm bigger than all the girls my age."

[Father Lelldorin]

"Not in Nyra," Lelldorin informs her. "You're taller than the average, yes, but not unduly so. And especially not for your race. Hmm. In fact, one of my old friends-- well, she's much older than you now, but she was at least a foot taller than you are when she was about your age. Perhaps a foot and a half. She's eleven and coppers these days."

[GamesMaster]

"Feet? I've never seen something alive that big!"

[Diligence]

"That's not-- oh, right, you've only ever seen the dire oxen after they've been Animated," Dil realizes. "Huh."

[GamesMaster]

Joy nods, making a face. "A skeleton's a skeleton, there's only so many you can see before they stop being cool."

[Father Lelldorin]

"Dire oxen skeleton," Lelldorin murmurs, shaking his head. That's a phrase I haven't heard in decades. The breeding program was just catching on, last I heard in fact. Time is the surest magic. "Well, heights and oxen aside, I imagine you three are rather hungry. Did you have any more questions or concerns to raise now or do you wish to head to lunch and talk among the three of you before speaking once more?"

[GamesMaster]

"Lunch!" votes Joy. 

[Charon Tethras]

"That works for me."

[Diligence]

"I don't suppose you have grubs or even beetles on the menu?" Dil asks with faint hope.

[Dog]

Dog lets out a soft woof, sounding suddenly curious himself.

[Charon Tethras]

Charon makes a face. "We'll eat whatever," he corrects. 

[Diligence]

"Well that's not true. There's a lot of things we can't eat. Or shouldn't eat, I guess."

[Charon Tethras]

"It's polite to eat what you're given."

[Diligence]

"But what if it's a rock or something?"
