Charon Tethras

"Honestly, someplace we could get full would be great. I'm not picky."

Andreas Amell

"Full..." Andreas murmurs, then flashes his brother a grin. "Tell me, have you ever heard of barbeque buffets?"
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

"I'm not that new. I've definitely smelled heaven walking through the spice district."

Andreas Amell

"Would you like to eat some of that heaven?"
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

Andreas Amell

"I know this incredible one that's run by a husband and wife team. He's a gnoll who has a preternatural gift for selecting the ideal cut for each type of preparation and she's a tiefling with a fire based lineage. They have other cooks do do the sides and help with the sauces but she does all the grilling and smoking and such herself."
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

"That sounds perfect. Day after tomorrow I don't start till early evening so, meet at noon?"

Andreas Amell

"It sounds excellent," Andreas replies firmly. "I look forward to meeting your family... brother."
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

Charon breaks into a run as he grows near the church, bursting into the back rooms where he, Dil, and Joy are staying. "Dil! Dil, the strangest thing happened, you won't believe it! Oh, here, I brought food."

Diligence

"That is strange," Joy says eagerly.

Dil rolls his eyes, the room kept dim enough to be comfortable for him, and places a bookmark in the weighty tome he'd been studying. "I don't think that's what he meant, Joy."
All I really want from life is a cozy den, my real family, good food
and a couple dozen skeleton servants.

Charon Tethras

"No, dumbass. Listen. I was walking down the street and I bumped into this guy, and on a whim I decided i'd pick his pocket -- he looked rich as fuck. Only then our eyes met and I realized he looks exactly like me. It was spooky."

Diligence

Dil tilts his head almost ninety degrees as he considers something. "...is it racist if it's about your own race?" he wonders.
All I really want from life is a cozy den, my real family, good food
and a couple dozen skeleton servants.

Charon Tethras

"Dil! I mean it. He saw it too. And it turns out he's the grandkid of a Light. So he paid for my dinner -- I slipped his wallet back when he wasn't looking -- and he had some tests run. And it turns out... we're brothers. Somehow. It looks like... my parents were from Nyra."

Diligence

Light, Light. What's that again? I know I know this... "What kind of tests?" Dil asks slowly, a third of his focus on trying to remember what-- oh right! Sage Light or something like that in full. Some kind of title or office for people that do something revolutionary in magic. Wow.
All I really want from life is a cozy den, my real family, good food
and a couple dozen skeleton servants.

Charon Tethras

"Magical ones. The Bastion church ran the test."
