Charon Tethras

"Thirty seconds? I am going to have to pretend I can't cast at all? I can barely remember the long form!"

Andreas Amell

"Oh. Umm. Yesss? I'm not a caster," Andreas says awkwardly. "I could have learned, of course, but I've put all my focus on the arts. I've even attended a few classes at Glowing Joy. Oh, that's one of the universities here, one that focuses on training minstrels, bards and other artists and performers. I can't enroll, officially, until I'm of age alas."
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

"....I wouldn't know the first thing about art."

Andreas Amell

Andreas heaves a long-suffering sigh. "Well, to my dismay and your great fortune, only my Grandparents and Aunt Shannon know anything about art so it shouldn't be hard to give you some coaching on a few rambles you can pull out to make their eyes glaze over."
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

"You said your grandparents are leaving, right? So maybe I just steer clear of this Aunt Shannon?"

Andreas Amell

"That shouldn't be too hard," Andreas agrees easily. "She's busy. Like all the time. And she lives in Skysong so it's not likely you'll just wander into her."
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

"Good, good. Okay. What else?"

Andreas Amell

"Umm. Well... okay, I pretty much covered my household-- pretty small honestly. My Grandparents have had a few fosters but only one is still underage; Sami. He's our age, a merikos gnome. We're... we're friends on top of being family but mostly because we grew up together? Him and Addy are the only ones my age so..." He shrugs a little. "They're cool, we just don't have a lot of shared hobbies, exactly. Mostly on me, if I'm being honest. I pretty much just want to do art."
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

"Do you have any actual friends?" he asks, then winces at how bad that sounds.

Andreas Amell

Ouch. "Yes, of course," he says hotly. Right? "I mean most of my family are people I'm friends with as well as family. And," do I really consider any of the other Light family kids as friends? Real ones? Oh! "There's a commune, in outer Coal. A half dozen artists all sharing a place. We're friends."
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

"I definitely couldn't fake it with them," worries Charon.

Andreas Amell

"No worries there; that's where I plan to stay during our swap," Andreas says, eyes bright as he decides this on the spot.
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

"Oh. Okay. Yeah I guess that makes more sense than staying at the church."

Andreas Amell

"Church?"

"In Coalside, near Cattown," Dil supplies. "Father Lelldorin and his massive dog beast run it."

"Oh! Yes, I've heard of the place. And him-- well, them rather. Seeker Lelldorin is rather well known in Nyra, at least in certain circles. He was one of the best exorcists in the Free Colonies before he retired. Err, don't mention that to him though," Andreas adds quickly. "It was good work he did, but painful work as well. Umm. Anyway. Will me not staying there cause you a problem later?"
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

"No, I don't think so. He's just offered us a place to stay while we get on our feet. You should take Dil with you, though, and Joy."
