Cadmus snorts. "Asked seven gods, five Heptad, for help. Quarter of tribe scoured the city for weeks. Guard actually worked with us in the doing," he says with another snort. "zi'Tethras spent millions of gold."

[Charon Tethras]

"Then, what do you think happened?"

[NPCs]

"If... Had to guess? Gilded Tongue, perhaps. Fits results best. Or Iron Bitch, for spite."

[Charon Tethras]

"Gilded Tongue?" 

[NPCs]

"Kato?" Cadmus says puzzled, as if he's wondering how Andreas could possibly not know that name.

[Charon Tethras]

"Oh! I was thinking like, assassins or something. I was wondering if we had some mortal enemies out there."

[NPCs]

"At least some mortal hands, yah," Cadmus agrees. "No groups stand out alas."

[Charon Tethras]

"I just... I guess I just don't understand how you lose a whole baby."

[NPCs]

"Aldis is very large. Magic and coin can seek, but also hide."

[Charon Tethras]

"What if they, um, I've heard people can reshape people's bodies so they're nothing like they used to be? What if that happened?"

[NPCs]

"Magic is not my strength, but would break scent, and make pictures useless. Though simple time would do the latter."

[Charon Tethras]

"Would your methods have caught them if they did? do you think?"

[NPCs]

"The Tribe's? Likely not," Cadmus admits with both humility and annoyance. "But your Clan's? Yes, if just that. No mundane means would work. Little arcane would help. Hence, suspicion of divine."

[Charon Tethras]

I guess that's not very helpful. He doesn't really know what happened to me. Of course he doesn't. "Alright. Are you up to, to telling me a story from our people? I don't know many."
