Go Down

GamesMaster

"Oooh, that's a party idea -- rent a sauna and burn some in the center."

Andreas Amell

"Dosing would be inexact, so you'd have to take plenty of care with it. Not let anyone stay in too long, even more strictly than one should be with a sauna anyway. And go for a low dose."
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

GamesMaster

"Right, right. And people who are used to smoking, of course. So they can monitor their own intoxication." A pause. "How's the medicine hitting you?"

Andreas Amell

Andreas stared blankly at his hands, paused in the middle of wrapping. "I took medicine?" A pause. "Oh yeah."
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

GamesMaster

"Still in pain? Or has it gone away and left you a loose floaty feeling yet?"

Andreas Amell

"Oh I think I'm floating," Andreas confirmed.
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

GamesMaster

"Good, good. Just relax into it. You know what you're doing?"

Andreas Amell

"Take flower from here," he pointed at the rows Cameron is setting up, "then I wrap them in the corny leaves." He snickered, amused at his joke. "Oh, and bag'em."
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

GamesMaster

Cameron laughed. "I meant as far as the meds, kiddo. You take this stuff before or you need someone to sit with you?"

Andreas Amell

The merikos catfolk gave Cameron a puzzled squint. "Is this not what was in the special cookie?"
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

GamesMaster

"Doesn't mean you're comfortable yet, and also it was a higher dose."

Andreas Amell

"Mmh, can confirm, higher dose yes." Woo, feeling all sorts of wooo. Woooo? Woooooooo. Hehehe. Woo.
Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

GamesMaster

Cameron pats Andreas on the back a few times. "You're a good man, Andreas."

Andreas Amell

Oh cruel gods, why have you hidden my muse so?

Charon Tethras

When Charon comes down for breakfast, he expects maybe some porridge or at best leftover beans. But yet again, he is taken by surprise at the sheer quantity and variety of meats on hand, all for his liking. Today, hot, the cook has prepared bacon and salt pork, but he's told if he prefers beef there's leftovers from a roast in the coldbox, and there might be half a chicken in there too.

He doesn't have to think about it. His plate is loaded up with as much  meat as he can wolf down before he heads to the breakfast nook. Who knows how long that kid will let me keep this up. I want to be good and fed when we have to switch back.

As he tucks into the beef -- the hot bacon is a treat enough to safe for last -- a thought occurs to him.

What if we... don't switch back? What if I just stayed here, like this, forever?

It's stupid. When Andreas' mother returns, she'll know the difference and he'll be thrown out. Supposedly they're twins, and supposedly she'd love him too, but nobody ever loves Charon, so he can't imagine he'll just be welcomed with open arms. But this... staying with his father and grandfather, getting fed, training with his uncle, all the extreme amount of family around him... this could be... nice.

I've got to do more research, he decides. Poke around this place until I find more information I can pretend to be Andreas with.
